Hydrolock

I drove through a puddle today and 10min later when I goosed it hard it sputtered a little bit......normal giving it gas was fine....I haven't tried it yet.....what are you

I drove through a puddle today and 10min later when I goosed it hard it sputtered a little bit......normal giving it gas was fine....I haven't tried it yet.....what are you guys' thoughts on this? I am hoping it isn't hydro locked.

It never stopped.........I just never gunned it again......I think it was the MAF sensor acting up....I am going to wait till tonight before I start it up again.

alright...well have someone if you can monitor your exhaust fumes for white smoke! If there is white smoke then an oil change and a checking of the spark plugs may be in order! Also in the meanwhile remove the air filters and check if still soaked, then MAF.

The crazy thing is that it was a regular puddle, I hear you have to really submerge the filter.

Hydrolock = cylinders filled with water. Usually ends with bent connecting rods and a huge repair bill.

You may be having ignition trouble. Weak spark.

I hydrolocked once. Resulted in a rod out the side of the block. This is why I installed K&N Typhoons. Gotta be a deep a$$ puddle now! Sounds like you lucked out though.
