I just bought and had installed the full system. I like the overall sound of the exhaust but feel it is a bit too loud for me. I am running resonated test pipes and was curious to see if anyone had installed just the muffler portion of this on a stock center/ y pipe and how it sounded. I'd like to keep the aggressive snarl but tone it down a tad and not sure if the factory resonators would help.

Thoughts? If not it may be for sale very soon!

Thanks guys

**EDIT**

Since no one had any feedback I went ahead and installed the Nismo front and midpipes and left the Meisterschaft muffler portion. It still sounds snarly but about half the DB as before and doesn't leave my head buzzing after going through the mountains under load. Since I am running test Pipes the full Meisterschaft system was just insane for daily driving.. The next step is to replace the Nismo H pipe with an X pipe to smooth things out.

Just FYI for anyone that may be looking into this kit that would like it more streetable.

Is anyone running just the Axleback and Mid-Pipe sections of this exhaust? I am running Stillen G3s with Berk HFCs and just the GTHaus Axleback. I am wanting to upgrade my Y-Pipe to be less restrictive, but will a stock / OEM Mid-Pipe contradict? Also wondering how much louder the Mid-Pipe would be when added on?

You will not have any issues at all. The sound is amazing & I love it. If you were to go to the tuning section of this website & click on the Mustang Dyno you can hear how my entire set up sounds.

Thanks for the response, do you happen to know what the diameter size is for the GTHaus piping? I didn't go with the entire GTHaus Catback due to the lack of HP gains... that is why I am looking to get a different Y-Pipe, along with a Mid-Pipe to get the most gains out of my exhaust set-up.

I believe the entire piping size is 2.5 inches (excluding the exhaust tip of course).

Thanks, I talked with Mark at GTHaus and he informed me that the Mid-Pipe section was a 3.0" (76mm). I'm sure the Y-Pipe goes from dual 2.5" inlets to the 3.0" outlet.

Oh ok cool. I figure 2.5'', but thanks for verifying the diameter.

The pipe diameter is:

Dual 60mm (Y-Pipe) -> 76mm Flange (Joint) -> Dual 60mm (Mid-Pipe).

I apologize if there was any confusion here.

Please get an H pipe. Thats what I went with because I wanted to retain the true dual setup of the Nismo. AAM makes a Hpipe/Midpipe that bolts right up to the Axelback. Ill let you in on a little secret. Hpipe evens out the flow causing there to be no hiss upon releasing the gas.

Here's a video. Second video skip to 6:49

Currently I have Gen 3's/Fast Intentions RHFC's/GTHAUS full CBE and no tune. I am planning to add Z1 headers at least after the Stillen SC goes in next month :) LTH would be INSANE!!! My setup in person even put a smile on my face and I said DAMN!!! Videos don't do it justice.

JJOHNNYCY200--have you dyno'd your car with that exhaust set up?

I currently have the hks but have been debating on switching over to something that sounds a bit more brutal. However I am curious on hp/tq numbers
