Top Secret intake finally arrived

Finally my top secret intake arrived this morning, special thanks go to Baker tuning for hooking me up with those bad boys. The package was packed very good, and the quality of the item is top notch 10 out of 10, the carbon fiber quality is excellent as expected and the welds of the intake pipe are just a piece of art, its almost that i don't want to install them cuz its a shame hiding them under the hood, i want to install them so much so that i can see the performance, but at the same time i don't want to install them straight away so that i can appriciate them looool, my current intake set up are the R2C, i have really enjoyed them, and they are defently quality intakes that gave me really good gains, but iv always wanted the Top Secret, and after seeing the dyno comparison against the Stillen g3, i was sold. I took some snap shots with my phone, trust me those pics dont do the intake any justice at all, i will be posting pics and dyno as soon as they are fixed on the car.

Those truly are gorgeous intakes..wow.

Do you happen to have a link to those dyno sheets? I'm curious.

Baller status:drool:

NYBladeZ 01-15-2012 11:45 AM

They look great but I'm not into short ram intakes, heat shields or no, having intakes in the engine bay is never a good idea.

zuperman 370 01-15-2012 01:33 PM

Thank you guys, I wasnt a fan of short ram intakes as well but the r2c really impressed me and from the numbers those showed when baker tuning tested them against the G3 id say that they are on par with them power wise I'm sorry I don't have Dino charts now but you can check a post by baker tuning where they did a comparison with g3 and you can see the numbers that these bad boys put down

370Z JT 01-15-2012 01:35 PM

Are you gonna dyno before and after? Here's a good chance to have independent dyno on them.

Ni55anPat 01-15-2012 01:37 PM

Sweet!!

zuperman 370 01-15-2012 01:44 PM

Yes I will try getting the car on the dyno before and after so that we can get more numbers

98intrigue 01-15-2012 01:45 PM

Let's see if I can package the long tube headers into a Top Secret box and get you to think they are a one of a kind set. Haha

Beautiful looking intakes

At the very least, you get props for going with something different while most of us have Injen or Stillen G3's

no dyno as of yet as they haven't been installed on the car yet due to my car still in the dealership waiting for that steering lock issue to be sorted out

Your exactly right. I have Stillens too and everytime I race someone with a shortram intake I outrun them by at least two or three car lengths:ugh2: or at least on the dyno I do

i'm thinking that the way i have my car set up so far should give these intakes some edge oppose to them being installed on a normal 370z, i have the mines air scoops, which should allow cold air directly into the intakes, and seibon TS hood, which should allow the hot air out of the engine bay, not saying it will totally eliminate the hot air but it should help out a bit.

Post pictures when things get installed.

I'm sure these aren't going to make much of a difference in terms of power compared to other short ram intake designs. Top Secret, you're paying for the name, bragging rights, and aesthetics. Those are beautiful pipes though!

bragging rights or not, top secret has always built cars to outperform others on the track.
