ok. I guess washers are the best bet then.

Let me guess, ur running the topspeed exhaust? If yes then take the washer advice to the cross member. Good luck

has anyone tried to use a shim of 1000 series (pure) aluminum? you can get it from mcmaster.

After I put me headers on my exhaust was hitting just like urs. What I did was take two hose clamps and tighten them around the exhaust hanger on the mid pipe on each side and it stopped the rattling cause it raises the exhaust off the cross member. Do that trust it will work

Can you post a photo of what you're referring to?

Heat wrap or anything else might not be the best idea, you might need to remove the hanger or some other adjustment.

:iagree: It doesn't get much easier than what Mike suggests.

Not trying to be a d!ck......but if you go under the car often enough to try random fixes, why not just adjust the height of the exhaust? If the exhaust is making contact with the x-member, I would try to re-align the exhaust before I go jacking around with the x-member.

Good luck!

thing is that, if I tried to adjust my exhaust height, other part gets ruin, like one exhaust tip will be too close to the rear balance and or go too low. right right is the perfect setup for me because tips are nearly perfect heights and I rather have tips that look good then you know not having rattling and tips are adjusted all over :) (sorry for the bad English) yea I definitely would try to remove the hanger or use washers. I was busy these past days. :)
