Anyone planning on giving this one a try when it comes out?

Unless it is a cold air system (looks like a ram short system) then why bother... keep the stocks.

He is talking about the long tube setup just like Stillen's except the Takeda does not require any cutting and the filter is shared between the piping compared to Stillen's dual filter setup.

Sharing the filter between the two banks is not a good idea. Each side will be pulling against each other.

It doesn't look like as much surface area anyway

Hey just found it on ebay for under $400 shipped if anyone is feeling adventurous.

Not a bad price if it can deliver results equivalent to the G3's.

This is a really nice CAI. AFE is no newcomer when it comes to building intake systems that make power! They have a really good R&D department... Not just saying this because we offer the product. But, just trying to give solid input.

The surface area of the filter has been carefully calculated by their engineers. They have a forced induction kit for the BMW 335 that we have experience with that really delivers the goods. it also runs a single filter and has 2 turbos sucking from it!

This being a NA system, It wont have nearly the same amount of vacuum pulling and even then. The air get's drawn in from the opening in the pipes. It won't pull air from the other side. This actually creates a stronger vacuum. Because, you now have to pipes sucking in to one larger filter. It's not a small filter btw either guys.

The location of the filter is right behind the grill. That's ice cold air baby! 12+rwhp is no joke for just an intake. Hope this helps! Just my 2 cents...

For the price, the power isn't to bad... however vs the G3's at 18-22 hp depending on the dyno if you're gonna pay, you may as well get the best out there.

by the way... thus far on the G37 with independent testing the Takeda has not gotten the 12 hp that is advertised.. not saying that it couldn't under the correct conditions.
