Thanks fellas. I know this has taken much longer than expected and people are impatient, but once all of the testing is done and we have all of the info promised then it will have been worth the wait.

We appreciate it. Keep up the good work!

Big THANKS out to Mike at DDM for taking the time to get quality results and info for an entire community and everyone from Berk for taking the time to make a quality part that will work right from the start, every time.

Alright, after spending 2 1/2 hours on the dyno we didn't get it perfect, but pretty close. The issue was with the signal on the dyno I believe. They grounded the car to the dyno itself and did some other things with the sensors and it helped a bunch. Basically the blank spots in the graph are where it spiked, but you can pretty much fill in the blanks. The peak numbers were not affected.

So here is the graph. This is in 110 degree heat, with the stock intakes back on. Only mods are Berk High Flow Cats. I will leave the stock intakes on for the remainder of the testing. Next up is the Berk Cat-Back w/ H-Pipe.

The plan is to get the exhaust on the car and continue with these dynos. The shop I dyno at is going to switch to a different type of sensor that should not have these issues but the switch won't happen for a week or two. So when he switches that sensor I will do another dyno to see if the numbers are any different. If they are, I will re-do all of the dyno tests. If they are pretty much the same, then these will be what we go off of. That way you guys don't have to wait for sound clips.

next dyno run will be interesting and the one after also....

Anxiously awaiting dyno #'s. But I have to say I'm disappointed by the sound so far.

The exhaust vids have Berk HFC's on both of them. If you get a chance, listen to another brand exhaust with any brand HFC's and let me know how you think the sound of the Berk exhaust stacks up.

Sounds a little different with headphones on! Listening to the car revving is one thing, I guess I need to wait for some videos of it under load.

Right now there is a battle in my head between Berk & FI and at the moment I say FI, but I have some time before I actually click "buy" so I'm holding out.

If there's anything I learned from my Mustang days it's that the best sounding exhausts under load sounded weakest sitting still revving. My Magnaflows and X-Pipe were magnifique under load but any hillbilly with H-pipe and Flows would drown me out at a red light. :icon18:

That is absolutely correct.

DDM will have some vids of the system under load shortly. I drove this on the street and under load it does sound sweet! "Hillbilly H-pipe" LOL.

I hope we can earn your business for a Berk exhaust in the coming weeks.

In the first video (Prototype #1) the second set up is still thee absolute best sounding exhaust i have heard to date. If that exhaust makes good #'s on the dyno it will be the exhaust I purchase. I just can not get over the tone.

awww, you're making me want to buy

M.Bonanni 07-15-2009 01:45 PM

Berk Technology cat-back with H-Pipe is installed! Working on the sound clip video now. Sound is AMAZING. Install was easy, fitment was perfect. Butt dyno says big gains. Will try and schedule an actual dyno today as well. After I dyno with the H-Pipe, I will swap it for the X-Pipe and do sound clips and dyno again.

Yes I will do a separate group buy thread in a minute and put a link to it on this thread. GB pricing will be $995 + $65 flat rate shipping to lower 48 states. This GB will go on for a month and will be exclusively through DDM. :D

m4a1mustang 07-15-2009 01:57 PM
