In cabin vibration form CBE

I had the Ark CBE and Berk HFC installed and I am getting a really loud vibration coming from the back of the car, I think it is coming from inside the cabin.
I checked the crossmember, no rubbing and plenty of clearance
All the hangers are fine
I even had a guy weld the two resonators togather because it looked like they where rubbing.
I am at a loss her, anybody got any ideas? I will try and post a video of it in the morning

i had a vibration sound in the rear when i had the catback installed. it was a thin metal plate that was touching the muffler. just bent it out a bit and vibrations gone now.

first check the exhaust hanger bolts.
then try pushing on the foglight (or dummy light) the metal bracket there likes to rattle around.

I will try that

You should check the rear muffler hangers. Other than that, we carefully examined every batch on our JIG here before it was shipped out.

The build quility is top notch and I lover the sound, the vibration kicks In at about 3200RPMs to 4000RPMs. I hope that is what it is.

TeamARK 08-02-2011 01:44 PM

If that is the case, then check to see if all the bolts are tightened. If you have any other questions please give us a call directly so we can find out where the vibrations are coming from. 909.391.1275

As mentioned before, check whether the metal shield over the passenger side muffler is contacting the exhaust. I had this similar issue with my FI exhaust as have others and just bent it up out of the way, no problems since.

TeamARK 08-02-2011 03:15 PM

^^^ Yea. Check that as well.

I get a bad vibration from the rear of my car most of the time. Some days it's worse than others. Irt must be part of the body somewhere. Are car body panels seem to be pressed and welded togehter in many spots. It's bound to create vibrations from a loud droning exhaust. But I could care less. Especially when you have an exhaust setup like mine. It's expected. Didn't start till I removed the silencers.
