I have to amend my earlier conclusions abut the G3's now that I've had a better look at a closer comparison.

There's a few other variables still at play (e.g., different exhausts), but overall, up top gains were indeed significantly higher (8-10!) at best, which is a LOT better than I had thought.

Differences are lesser throguhout most of the rev range, but at peak, it definitely outperforms the factory airbox with panel filters.

Average differences over sucessive runs were closer to what I had expected, but comparing best to best runs, the G3's definitely win.

I sitll think the price difference (over $500 new) makes it a bit iffy if you don't have the cash, but if you can find them for $350 or less used/on sale, I think it's definitely worth it.

wrapped g3's are a no-brainer if you are after peak power...not sure how many of us are after maxing peak at the cost of low end though.

Check out HKS intake I have dyno sheets from before an after performed by RT tuning and I gained about 11 whp so I'm definitely happy with the power and I love sound as well

This is just the best evidence I've seen yet of the degree of potential improvement. Every other dyno I'd seen, the differences were much smaller (3-5 instead of as much as 10).

Unfortunately it wasn't a pefect comparion, because the other car has a few different items than mine (e.g., his Berk CBE may outerform my Weldina), so it may not have been 100% due to the intakes.

If I can find a set cheap I think I'll do the swap just to see exactly how much of a difference when absolutely everything else is held as constant as possible.

I still think bang for the buck the tubes and filters win, but found on sale, the G3's are the way to go.

I updated my dyno thread with details and new charts.
