Keeping my fast intentions exhaust looking nice........

What do you guys recommend? What have you personally tried, and what were the results? I want to keep it clean and shiny. Thanks in advance.

I just use a wet rag to wipe mine down when it's cool.

WENOL metal polish sold at most pot and pan stores like Williams Sonoma.
it leaves behind a protective film coating and can withstand cooking temperatures.

i also use griot's metal polish. im not sure how much film is left over on this one though...

I've used Mother's metal polish on my Tanabe's on my G35. It was great!

I agree on Mothers polish. ^^

And simply using windex with a microfiber to remove the dust.

To clean the carbon build up in the tips I use GooGone. I spray it on as I wash the car, let it sit, then rinse of. No scubbing, no abrasives leaves the tips smelling like an orange untill I start it up.

This is the exact reason I did not get a F.I. One less thing to clean. Cape Cod Metal Polish works wonders also. You can even remove scratches with it.

I got them clean with some Mothers Mag Aluminum Polish after buying them used, but I don't need anything that aggressive to maintain them now so I generally use quick detailer and a microfiber towel after each drive and some all-in-one product such as Pinnacle XMT360 or Optimum Poli-seal.

Tony has recommended just using Windex. I think it works good, and leaves no residue.

And the man with the plan chimes in.............I will definitely try the Windex thing when I get back. Gotta keep the new TDX looking good once I get it installed. Can't wait....
