Default Takeda exhaust

Saw that Takeda has released their own exhaust unit for the 370z. It's a cat back exhaust that they say offers +12whp +12wtq. Dual muffler and exit exhaust with an X-pipe.

Thoughts?

I found it for under $1,000, not sure if I want to jump on it though.

1. Would be nice to here a sound clip.

2. The stated power gains don't match up with the dyno graph.

3. The baseline is 292, which seems high for a base, more along the lines of a nismo numbers wise.

every dyno reads differently, you do the baseline so you get the number you started with and one after so you see how much you gained

Dynos are a poor way to measure HP, its true purpose is for tuning and seeing gains, dont focus too much on numbers but the gains the exhaust provides

Did you read #2? I was referring specifically to their dyno graph. It only shows a gain of 8, hence why I was assuming also a Nismo was tested. 8whp gain for a cat back is way subpar, unless was again on a nismo, even then a touch low. Should be a higher gain on the bases.

Thinking about buying this, found it for $776 new and the company is close by me. I'm not an expert in these things but it does not appear to have resonators but is advertised as not having drone. So my question is, for the cost conscious not mod happy 370Z driver will I be happy with this? There is one video for the sound and I think it sounds good and I'd be saving about $500 since most of the other options all cost over 1k. I already have the Takeda CAI and I like it, should I pull the trigger or pay more and get what I paid for?
