Side note, we did release the oil cooler.. STILLEN : STILLEN Oil Cooler Kit

Props to RCZ for the detailed install. As you've noted, there are mounting options when doing the oil cooler. Our instructions also take into effect the other coolers we have available, the transmission and upgraded power steering coolers.

What's the purpose of the power steering cooler?

Josh@STILLEN 04-21-2009 12:08 AM

Exactly the same as other coolers. During aggressive driving, the power steering pump exerts a tremendous amount of effort to assist you in steering the vehicle. If the power steering fluid gets hot enough, it will eventually boil, ruining the fluid and having a dramatic impact on the steering abilities of the pump and effectively your ability to steer.

Hey Josh,

Nice on the oil cooler, I'm excited! I don't see a power steering cooler under the 370Z at your website? Also, is this a bigger cooler than the stock, and is it relocated to the left side of the car, like RCZ did?

Thanks,

Just catching up with this thread - It was all going so well until I got to the rug :icon14:

Just curious, what will you do when you change the oil? Technically, wont their be ~ quart of oil in the cooler just sitting? Isnt it better to have the fittings coming into the cooler from underneath or sideways?

RCZ 04-21-2009 06:03 PM

I went with the Stillen HFC's... So far I have not been disappointed with any of their products, lets keep the power coming then.

ssqpolo 04-21-2009 06:06 PM

stillen products are proven awesome. damn, you have a full bolt on stillen car.

RCZ 04-21-2009 06:07 PM

Yes sir I do. All I am missing now is the tune...if only uprev came out with their stuff :) I am waiting for the call...any day now.
