Anyone run this ebay exhaust?
 

So I've been thinking about getting an exhaust and while I absolutely love the HKS HiPower exhaust, it's kind of too much dough to spend on an exhaust.

I ran into this on ebay:

I think I already saw a post somewhere about a guy making fun of the fact that they write it's for vq37de engines. What I want to know is if anyone is running this same exhaust and what your thoughts are about it?

at 665$, this is about a third of the cost of the hks.

I'd spend a couple hundred extra bucks on something like the Gemini

It's been covered many times you say? I can't seem to find a thread about anybody having this particular exhaust, which is why I'm asking if anyone knows someone that does.

Again, you misunderstand the intent of my post - I don't care about which exhaust anyone thinks I should get, or which brand is better, has more gains, sounds nicer, or whether i should spend an extra $X.

I'm simply posting to see if anyone on this forum runs this exhaust so that I can contact them.

I say get it! I have the HKS but I know that it is priced way more than it should be. The eBay one might be a good value and if it isn't, I am sure you will be able to sell it to someone else.

This exhaust retains the stock exhaust pipe diameter and claims a 28whp increase? LOL.

most of the sellers feedback related to exhausts are comments that claim the parts don't fit.

Yes, I'd go for the Invidia Gemini as well.
For 900 shipped its a true dual with burnt tips which I think is an awesome deal!

This is stupid....for that price you can get a custom one made at your local muffler shop (search) that you know will fit and will flow....the only thing you won't have much control over is the sound. Just mandrel bend 2.5" all the way through and use good quality resonators and you will be all set. You will have something no one else does..

If you are at all interested...I'm going to be selling a set of slightly used Stillen headers and Berk test pipes in the next couple of weeks....Probably like $550 shipped for everything...

Hence why I'm waiting for someone else to see how it turns out. I'm not too interested in the power gains, though if it doesn't fit correctly, then it's garbage to me.

Buy it and let others know how it fits and perform because you want to try something new and different.

Seriously, I understand that doing research on this exhaust is difficult. Who even fabricates this cb? TacoTaco racing? Have you tryed maybe contacting some buyers on ebay? Theyd probably give you better info considering its an ebay product/vendor.
For me and most ppl on this forum were gonna give you wise advice on a tacotaco w product. $600 is alot trust to put down on product that says their gains are 28whp on 2.25 dia. I can only imgaine the trust in fitment/build quality and costumer service. You said your taste buds are hks. This is a far cry from their products.

FYI tacotaco is just some reseller. There are multiple vendors on ebay selling the same exhaust

I'm curiously awaiting 5.0370z's review. definitely getting tacos today as well...

Package requires signature and Fedex came by while I was at work...

Initial impression = Good!

If you're looking for flawless quality, definitely look to the established brands.

Sound is very good. It has the hiss that is common with test pipes, but the overall sound is very nice.

I'll post pics and hopefully a video tomorrow so you guys can have an idea of what it sounds/looks like on the car

Yea, the packed was shipped from the North Pole so we were all thinking Chris Kringle ;)

Two really crappy cell phone pics to get us started. I'll try to get some sound clips up soon. This exhaust is loud. I mean LOUD.

I also have test pipes, so that certainly has a lot to do with it, as well.

I didn't take pics of it out of the box because it looked identical to the sellers pictures. (and I forgot to take pictures, but nevermind that)
