The problem with every exhaust video is that there is no standard, and I don't believe I've heard a one that has actually been recorded with professional equipment to try to replicate the actual sound. Borla got lambasted on theirs sounding too raspy, but I believe it was the poor mic used in the point-n-shoot camera they used to take the video. You can get the basic gist of the sound, but that's about it.

mine is a point and shot digi cam from sony. it is like 5 years old. you'll have to excuse the video and sound quality.

Thanks for the reply man! We gotta meet up one of these days. And I'll be looking for the Simichrome polish when I hit autozone or kragens. hopefully they have some around.

The Simichrome works great, I've used it hundreds of times on aluminum parts, only problem is that it strips the anodizing off and then you have to constantly polish to get that shine back, otherwise it will turn your parts greyish. The muffler is Stainless so I don't think it will have the same effect, I've never tried it on stainless.

Just got mine installed. Sounds awesome! And the power gain is definitely felt by the butt-dyno. It sits well above the cross-member so there's no rubbing issues like some Stillen customers have reported. I was very impressed with the design quality, especially for the price. I can't wait to take it on a road trip tomorrow morning!

Lou,

Great exhaust! Any tips on how to keep the system looking nice, especially the tips. Can we seal them with something or will a polish like simichrome be enough to offer protection. I would like to do something to the system before I install to help preserve the finish. thanks

I actually just use regular chrome polish (any brand) to polish up all our stainless steel parts before the show. I'll look into it more to see what i can dig up from my paint guy

Yeah, look up a few threads in the Intake/Exhaust vid.. I posted exactly what you're looking for, apparently it's normal to sound like mine does lol.

There's no leak or anything? Your exhaust sounds TOTALLY different then the exhaust without the cats. Have any other vids of drive bys or anything to really give me a better idea of what it sounds like? Because i'm not hearing much in those vids really lol.
