You are best off calling MD directly to ask if they know for sure, i can't remember if i've seen the answer anywhere.

Recently I purchased those ART test pipe from an authorized dealer . After installation , I noticed that right pipe (passenger side) is hanging down MUCH more than the other one . so I contacted Tony at MD and I explain to him this and i attached some photos , he said " the location of the passenger side (right side) ART pipe is correct , and it must be that way out of necessity of clearance on all makes and models of coupes and sedans " !!!
Right now the ART pipe (right side) almost scrape everywhere . I had many HFC's and test pipes none of them had such fitment issue. What do you guys think ? is this alright and it should look like that ? First 2 pictures with Berk CBE and the rest with stock exhaust . Thanks |
Wheres best place to buy their (motordyne) exhaust system?

I'd contact Jomer for best pricing from fredbeansparts. His username is FBNissan.

It looks like the resonator section isn't at the right angle, also remember you have rotation adjustment on the ART pipes, try resetting that first.

The ART pipes are adjustable via rotation on the headers, it affects the height of the y-pipe end under the car.

I just got mine installed on my Stillen super charged 370z. Before I had invida tp but they cracked twice for no reason so I went with the motordyne. I also have tanabe exhaust. These are way quieter than invida. That can be good or bad depending on what sound you want.

In your pic you are missing the support brace that attaches to these, if you don't install the brace then these will crack too. I'm planning on getting these in spring so then I should be able to get a 12.9@110 at the drag strip.

It seems like these tp's are lower than the invidas I had. I hear it hitting when I go over speed bumps where before with invida nothing hit. Does anyone know exactly what is making contact? Is it the reinforce bar that goes across the tp's? I also liked the sound of my invidas better. The only problem is that there welds keep failing me. These motordyne are almost to quiet.

yea they are pretty damn quiet. I think the lowest part of the ART pipes are the ends of the side-branch resonators.
Since the ART pipes use the oem donut gastket, they can pivot on that to change the pipe's angle relative to the header. For example: if you tightened the bottom two bolts on the triangular flange, then went to tighten the top bolt, it would result in the ART pipe being angled downwards too much. Its best to get the pipes sitting how you want them, then tighten the 3 bolts on the flange equally. |
^^^^ That, also, make sure there isn't the floor shield bolts sticking through, i don't know if it exists on the 370, but worth checking.
