Thanks again,

120 for test pipe install.

Tune...well that differs. UpRev is $500-600 and you can do an e-tune with UpRev (which runs $50). E-Tune is you driving the car on the street, logging the data, and sending those logs out to UpRev. They look at the logs, and send you back a tune with all of the adjustments made to your AFR, timing, etc. Virtually identical to how a dyno tune works, except you don't have any horsepower numbers from a machine.

I already have the uprev done. What I'm assuming is that It will have to be done again. I'm looking for a price for that.
Thanks

Yea do not have anything, Stock cats :/. So hoping these will be a nice increase.

If you already have a tune for any other breather mods, adding in ART pipes won't be an issue.

then you will feel a HUGE pickup of power, that is the most restrictive part

37drift any update???

Quick question guys.

I have a whine that developed after I got my motordyne art pipes and my 25 row oil cooler.

During high rpms I have this whine noise from front/mid of the car. I am thinking it it more of the art pipes. Art pipes are causing a turbine sound to form during regular street driving which I suspect is the same thing I am hearing at higher rpms (just more whinier).

Can anyone elaborate on this?

oil coolers will have a whine if you have the thermostatic plate and do not have the line covers and the lines are resting up against any part of the chassis.

what exahust do you have btw.

Invidia Gemini, I think it might be the pipes. Some guy with the ark was talking about a whistle at his X pipe, maybe the same thing with mine?

I have a whine but it's only noticeable in 6th gear when accelerating from like 3-5k Rpm.

^+1 I've seen(heard) this before.

Methodical4u 09-08-2011 10:43 PM

i've heard a whine in 1st gear right next to a wooden fence with no engine load... I think it's just the gears... never heard it at higher rpms though, and never loud.

kosstick 09-08-2011 10:58 PM

it sounds like a turbine lol, HEres a vid its a little hard to hear but lemme know. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/b...h_IMG_0715.jpg

Motordyne 09-09-2011 01:23 AM

Yep. That's the sound of the oil pump being transmitted through the hoses and into the chassis. Isolate the hoses from the chassis with a hose wrap or similar.

Got a good deal on some HFCs so I guess I'll be going ti the FI CBE instead of waiting for the Motordyne. I may get the m370 in the future though.
