I know a lot of this is subjective , but I like to know what your thoughts are now on these two good but very different "X" and "Y" types exhaust systems?

Thanks,
Alex
The Stillen/Berk combo was the only exhaust system I had, I drive an 11' 5.0 now, and the sound is completely different

The Stillen exhaust is just as good as any other, I think that combined with the HFC's, its the best sounding system at idle/WOT. Although it is a bit heavier than the other options. The thing I liked most about it is the fact that it looks more stock than the others, I've never been a fan of round mufflers because I'm a purist and I associate fart cans with Honda Civics/RSX's and the like. The only difference between an X/Y pipe is the sound, AND THATS IT. Anyone that says one or the other offers more power is full of shyt.

My first exhaust mod was the Berk HFC's, I did an independent dyno with them and seen gains of 15whp, in the end, while it sounded better than stock, I wanted a louder system, so I added the Stillen. Now with these cars, it seems the first exhaust mod nets the most gains, so with cats/cbe combo, you probably gained between 18-20whp. I can understand how happy you are with your setup, I was in love with mine from day one, but in the end, two seats became impractical for me, so I decided to get the Mustang, keep the power that I love and gain two seats (Ford as a company is also more "mod" friendly than Nissan, they almost seem to encourage it.) Enjoy the road trip.
