However if I do get the Elise, I'll be getting the TS exhaust lol

I didn't see one negative post about this exhaust. There are quite a few "small name" exhausts featured on this forum that get very favorable reviews. So I don't see where the hostility you mention is coming from. And as long as that single center pipe has enough diameter, I see no reason why it wouldn't be a decent mod with good gains.

Seconding this.

Most "big name" high priced exhausts get panned to hell here. The only ones that are universally loved are the ones that produce big power.

It sounds good, I agree.

I think his point was that the metal used in a cheap exhaust is not going to be up to the standards of the more expensive ones. And there still is a question about the diameter of that middle pipe.

Too bad the comparison was not between this exhaust and, say, a Stillen, FI, or Berk, rather than with an intake, which is pretty weird for a comparo.

I agree. The 370Z crowd is very brand conscious and loyal. I bought Boombop Shop CBE which IMO is a great exhaust and people complete ignored it. I heard Daisuke149's TS set up in person and experienced it as a passenger and I give it 3 :tup::tup:

Great review Dai

well the comparison to an intake was purely due to the fact that people in other threads have been stating that this exhaust would make no power being the single etc. now, someone wanna send me another exahust system i'll be glad to compare the two :-D

Nissan 370Z Z34 G37 VQ37 08-10 Exhaust Test Pipe Pipes - eBay (item 230526393014 end time Dec-13-10 17:49:37 PST)

how about the test pipe?

is it worth to purchase?

daisuke149 11-25-2010 09:30 PM

If you want testmpipes its worth it. I unfortunately like a quietmtame exhaust and so test pipes isnt good for me

Power. Quality. Sound. Those are the three most important things I look at when I'm buying an CBE. If an exhaust sounds great but produces terrible gains then I wont buy it. If it sounds terrible but gets high gains then I wont buy it. Quality is definitely important all around.

If this exhaust produces the same type of high power [or near] some of the other big name exhausts are I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I still find it odd that the comparison is with an intake. We expect exhausts to produce power and we expect them to produce more power than an intake.

Any chance we can get a graph WITH the baseline?

daisuke149 11-25-2010 10:35 PM

closest one I have for a vs baseline.

+1 to you Dai for taking the time to do an independent test and study of this product...This is the very reason for this forum, so that those of us out there can share our knowledge and experience with others....Some will like it and some will not, but if reviews such as these are not done, then everyone will be on the fence and come up with nothing but pure speculation.

Like I always say...Don't knock it cuz you can't rock it!!!!
