went to the dealership, they werent very helpfull.
they were more going "how its impossible for it to bend like that just by overtightening the clamps" They also went "didnt you drop something on it?" implying that I ****** it up, how the **** can I **** up that much piping with just DROPPING something on it. in the end it sounded like they are suggesting that the pipes were like that in the beginning or that my tunar guy did it. the worst was in the end. the guy just went "so....what is the technical problem its not like its gonna be that much worse" I basically got pissed off haha. I went something like this "What the problem is? I buy a 400 euro intake and pay your guys 200+ euro to install it and what do I see later from your HIIIGH qualified GT-R technician? That he ruined it by overtightening the clamps, that is the problem" He basically shut up after that and said that he is going to talk to the boss's son tommorow and call me back RAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_QcKAK2Sp3G.../fuuuuuuuu.jpg |

It's kind of hard, but at this point, just keep you cool. Be polite, but don't let them walk all over you. Emphasize that this was discovered prior to the tuner shop installing anything & was just brought to your attention. Speak to the GTR tech directly and let him know that you don't care how it happened under his watch, just get it fixed and installed like it was suppose to.
If the tuner shop was at fault, wouldn't you think they would try to hide it? attempt to fix it or own up to it? They had no way of knowing it was installed by the dealer. Tell them a replacement is available from Stillen and you just want this situation resolved. |

They are basically trying to push the problem off them and trying to blame me or the tunar. I did say that this was discovered by the tuner when he took them off. but I told him "if he did the damage why would he show me the damage, if he just kept quiet I would of never known since I don't do the filter maintenance myself. " he agreed. |

Also, why is the default answer from dealerships always that the customer is an idiot and can be lied to? If I found a worthwhile service department I'd probably be happy to take my car in, even if it was an hour away. |
