Not the best video but it was all I could find for now with just the CBE, no HFC's.

With the combo you are going to get more gains and obviously it will be louder. I was on the fence about getting HFC's at first, but then after all the great reviews and the power gains alone I decided in favor of them. You will be happy either way. you can get the exhaust installed and if you think you could use more power and wont mind a little more noise then go for it

Rui Z 09-11-2010 03:30 AM

Thanks. Ya I saw that video but it's hard to tell the difference from that video. I'll try to post a video once I get the car back. But we'll see how good the audio quality is.

BOLIO 671 09-11-2010 09:44 PM

Yo Holliday...Congrats on getting your HFC's and having a breezy install...You outwitted the "Demon" bolt or what we call here in Guam the "Devil Bolt":bowrofl: You will love the HFC/CBE combo...it is hella sweet

Also congrats to Rui Z on getting such a fine exhaust system...Did you get that promo that Berks was asking for regarding a Z in Southern Cali?

Haha, that's my video  With the stock cats the sound is very nice, with the HFC's it's louder but not excessive

Yeah but I don't have a good enough camera for drive-by's :shakes head:

Holliday 09-11-2010 10:48 PM

Hey steve,

Did you like the sound better before or after the HFC's? I can already hear a sight bit of rasp and that hiss with the HFC's and stock exhaust. I can't stand rasp and I was going for a really deep tone. Either way them HFC's aren't coming off any time soon :)

Thanks. Ya I'm the one they are testing the exhaust fitment on. Hopefully it goes well and they don't scratch up the exhaust too much!

The Hiss comes out from the HFC'S...Sounds raspy with the stock exhaust, but will sound a lot more refined and deeper with the CBE

That's what I am hoping for. After watching all the vids and reviews is what made me go ahead and get the HFC's. Thanks for the heads up BOLIO! hope you are enjoying your exhaust!

Your car gets this years award for the cleanest underbody. It looks like your car has never driven over a puddle.

The HFC's have been shown to be the most effective mod for HP gains.

My perspective these days includes the Stillen CAI which makes a ton of beautiful sucking sounds :excited: . The exhaust tone is so nice, so deep, so tuneful... the sound of your HFC's will only be a memory, my friend.

Hell Ya!!! Lovin' every minute and second of it bro....I got my Z in January as an achievement/prize car...prior to getting the exhaust I only had 1800 miles on it...Within the past two weeks that I've had it on I broke the 1900 mile mark...Keep in mind that Guam is only 33miles long by 15 miles wide...Hahahahaha....Hopefully Congressman Hank Johnson is wrong and we won't tip over when the 8,000 Marines and their families relocate here from Okinawa :roflpuke2: :roflpuke2: :roflpuke2:

So I absolutely love this exhaust. Anyone else think that it makes the car sound like a Porsche?

I think it is louder than most Porches. I am stationed here in Germany and I see Porches everyday and they sure don't turn heads when they drive by! HAHA

On a side note, I did the washer MOD yesterday to tide me over until I get my Berk delivered. I was shocked when I heard it. It is worth trying for those affected by the economy or just looking for better sound out of the stock exhaust.

Pshhhht! Porsches have those quiet Euro3-spec exhausts :shakes head: the Berk on a 370Z sounds much nicer

With some more practice, you can hit the mid 13s with your setup. All it takes is practice, drag racing is not as easy as it seems!

Very True...especially with our strip.....The launch pad really sucks...It's straight up concrete, so getting grip especially with stock rubber is difficult...

daimon1313 09-18-2010 09:31 PM

I'm going to be very sad if these aren't available when I get my Z next spring.

BOLIO 671 10-25-2010 05:48 AM

I wish that were the case :shakes head:

I had to have my friend ship it to a family member and that cost $200 bucks. I just went back to the states from Germany on leave recently. My plan was to just bring it back with me on the plane.

Well............. it had been 2 years since I had been to the states so I did some serious shopping. When we tried to check seven bags/boxes it was going to cost me $450 bucks extra. I ended up bringing the main muffler section with me and had my sister ship the mid pipe and y pipe.

So needless to say, I was so close yet so far :( I will have to wait about another month for the other pieces to show up before I install. I will post when I get it on though.

PS- I checked everything out and it is a top notch quality exhaust. Very nice welds inside and out on all the flanges :happydance:

memorylasts 10-28-2010 03:50 PM

I love the sounds mine produces, waiting to put some hfc's on, saving some more money.... ugh!

It sounds amazing especially when it warms up... well, i think that is almost with anything, but especially this piece of art!

BOLIO 671 10-29-2010 01:07 AM

Wow Holliday...sorry to hear that...I really thought with all this time that passed by that you already had it on....Can't wait to you get this thing on and enjoy it like the rest of us.

HATED1 10-29-2010 05:22 PM

hell ya!

So after waiting and calling every other week (tried to change my voice so they wouldn't know it's me) to see if the Berk Exhausts were available, THEY FINALLY DID! and without hesitation bought one to compliment the BERK HFC's i purchased from them as well. Rob gave me an estimated date of arrival and was shipped within the time frame, THANK YOU!

So i got the big box
http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/a...3/addc0eb6.jpg
which contained this!
http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/a...3/70de6fa0.jpg
nicely packed!
which ended up on this!
http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/a...3/f7a4c5ae.jpg

Overall:
I have been searching for an exhaust for awhile, especially with BERK being out of supply, but honestly couldn't find one with the right tone. I heard the BERK CBE through the videos and that was my base comparison to what i wanted my exhaust to sound like. IM GLAD I WAITED, it makes all the right noises when you want it too, when your accelerating through the gears, stomping on the gas, or dropping a gear when your high in the RPMS, it sounds awesome! To top it off when you want it to be "normal" all you have to do is shift earlier and under 3500 RPM's and you'll be fine. There is a definite improvement in throttle response and HP. In my opinion while accelerating through traffic, the HP gained helps with the throttle response/delay that was so apparent before. If your looking for an exhaust, this is the one to get! THANKS BERK!

I have to agree, berks does sound good and no drone. Haha now I'm no longer the only z with berks cbe in a sea of fast intentions.

BOLIO 671 10-30-2010 05:03 AM

Congrats Hated1.... another satisfied customer...

Rob@BerkTech 11-04-2010 07:15 PM

Glad to hear you got the exhaust and am very happy with it! We appreciate the business.

If anyone is interested, hit me up!

Dembflyr 11-04-2010 07:35 PM

I heard mine from outside the car today for the first time. I had a friend launch it while I listened.
I knew this set up sounded good but.... DAMN!!!!
it sounds awesome from in the car but outside is unreal.
To those who are thinking about a Berk, don't wait any longer. I am sooooo happy that I waited for it.
It was worth it!!

BOLIO 671 11-05-2010 03:37 AM

:iagree: This thing sounds like a beast, but with class and sophistication. Throw up some vids Hated1 when you get the chance...I know all us Berk owners know what it sounds like, but I can never get enough of the vids out there for this exhaust...

Seems that Berk has gotten their orders down pack...From what I recall HATED1 only had to wait about 2-3 months before it was available. Great Job Berk!!! I firmly beleive that in order to attain perfection, one must go through trials and errors. It is not about making mistakes, but more so about how one learns and recovers from the mistake.

BOLIO 671 11-05-2010 03:40 AM

BTW Dave...welcome back..haven't seen you post up in awhile...Too busy enjoying that exhaust heh? :driving: and you know what I don't blame you one bit :happydance:
