:iagree:

Good luck with yours. Mine did not have fitting issues. That is really weird. Don't know why yours would be any different? What year is yours? I see you have a Nismo. That should not make any difference however?

I have a 2011. I talked to a tech at Berk today and he said they see this from time to time and it has to do with bumper alignment. They are sending me a spacer to get it lined up so we'll see how that works out. I'm really curious as to what dimension is actually off, so I'm going to get under the car this weekend and take measurements of all pieces.

I still cant get over how nice this setup sounds. Today's commute was a lot more fun than usual. :driving:

I bet. I am now thinking about purchasing the Berk HFC's as well. Probably should have purchased them at the same time.

Best of luck to you. Hope the spacers do the trick. Keep us posted.

I live in Chicago......the weather here so far in March has been terrible. We are supposed to be in the upper 40's this time of year. We are barely breaking freezing for highs. Wednesday high this week will be 29F......WTF is that!!

It's killing me I can't drive the car with the new exhaust. Realize this crappy weather won't last for long, but it just plain sucks seeing my car in my garage just sitting there.......it's calling for me to drive her.....frustrating.

^ I hear you! Same weather in PA, drivng me nuts! I installed my m370 and hood struts today, it was in the mid forties so I said eff it and went for a drive, it was near 30 degrees when I covered it back up 2 hours later...sigh.

I was looking at getting the Berk CBE, does anyone know the weight difference from stock?

Haboob 03-22-2013 09:49 AM

I think I've made my decision on the CBE and will be getting a Berk CBE + the HFCs. Now, just have to wait for that tax return and be 100% I want to spend it all on this. :icon17:

Received the Berk CBE last Saturday March 9th. I had them sitting in my living room. Every time I would go up the stairs I would see them, sitting there in their boxes. It drove me nuts.

My daughters boyfriend is a mechanic. He attempted to install the new Berk system from the ground with the car up on jack stands. He called a friend of his who owns a full body auto repair. He specializes is BMW's and Honda's. Well he has 5 lifts in his shop. He made a phone call and off we went to his shop. This shop was immaculate. 5 bays and the place was just perfect. I mean you could eat off the floors in this place. Everything was in its place where it should be.

Anyway, this was after hours so we were the only one's in the shop. I had to sit in the waiting area and was not allowed in the shop area due to liability issues.

When they were finished, they called me in the shop to hit the start button for the first time. First impression was, WOW :excited:

I am very pleased with the sound and performance of this exhaust. This is what the Z, IMHO should sound like. Deep and throaty with no drone. When stepping on it, it makes such a beautiful tone. The sound is really something to behold in person. Upon WOT, it just sings.....nice, very nice indeed.

Throttle response has improved, in addition to what feels like low, mid and high range improvement as well. The butt dyno don't lie.

Berk has done an awesome job. Love the Round Tips........I was told the Berk lined up just perfectly without any modification required. Using the lift, from strip down to new install, took all of 1.5 hours.

Now, I think it's time to upgrade to Berk HFC's. The guy who owns the shop said I could come back anytime to install them.

Very, very satisfied indeed.:happydance:

Now with some pics. Sorry, no before pictures, only the OEM exhaust lying on the ground. Man, is that thing ugly!!

I keep forgetting to make a vid of my Berk CBE. I recently replaced the Berk HFCs with ART pipes and the sound and power difference really refreshed the car.

The ART pipes paired with the Berk CBE definitely has more hiss under acceleration than it did with HFCs, but it sounds better overall. It is actually a tad quieter now too.

Do you still have the Berk HFC's? Are you willing to sell them? Just curious.

Thanks.

I always wanted to hear the ART pipes paired with Berk CBE . would you please make that vid ? thanks

Just finished installing mine and they sound amazing, it's just an eyesore that the drivers-side tip sticks out way further than the passengers side (which is perfect).

I guess I'm going to have to pull it off and try the mallet smack on the hangers to see if that pulls it back further... unless there are other ideas?

That's irritating. I am glad my tips were slip-fit adjustable. Are you going to get a shop to cut the longer tip off to correct its length?

I'll make a video later this week for sure

Haboob 04-07-2013 01:00 PM

I'm going to try to bend the hanger. If not, I'm going to contact the vendor/Berk and see what else I can do. It's such an eyesore.

I finally made a video of the Berk CBE and ART pipes here
