All relative. Not gonna be much difference between this exhaust and, say, a Stillen CBE. Many threads on the Forum contain the answer to questions regarding gains.

Biggest gains come from hi-flow cats, followed by intakes and CBEs.

So, I just got off of the phone with Bryan @ Berk (he's their tech) and he explained that this is something that happens on all Z's with the welded tips. Sometimes it's the passenger-side, sometimes it's the driver-side. He said that we could take my exhaust and put it onto the one they have in the shop and it could show the passenger-side sticking out more.

He requested I send a copy of my purchase receipt and as long as it was purchased in the past year he'll send me some spacers to put on the passenger side.

There's no way to get it to be flush with the bumper, but at least the tips will be even.

I asked about bending the hangers and he said, "Bending hangers is more for up, down, left, and right movement."

All in all, I'm pleased with the sound and performance, but not pleased with the fact that it's going to look ricer-ish with the tips extending out from the bumper. Not sure how long it's going to last with me having to look at it each day like this.

Here are a few pictures from my installed Berks (CBE/HFC) from last May. I hope this helps...

I guess it's not that bad, I'm just OCD a bit and like things straight, flush, etc.

No more OCD than me and I think that they are fine. The distance that they stick out is even, the exhaust tips are parallel to the ground and the tips are concentric with the cutout in the rear bumper.

I can get more photos if you want?

You're good, thanks.

I just have this image in my mind that it's really far out (comparatively, it is right now) and my mind is exaggerating it a bit trying to imagine it.

I realize that it's to each his own, but this exhaust, the tips in particular extending from the bumper, do not look ricer-ish. IMO they look racer-ish.

All the best.

It is an optical illusion as I have measured them, and they are the same. I even got a hold of Berk when I bought them and this is what they said when I asked about how far they should stick out past the bumper, "Tip length should be about a fingers/thumb width. If you have one of our older systems they are about 2 fingers width past the bumper". This was from Bryan @ Berk.

If it bothers you enough I suggest getting a shop to cut them off, shorten and reattach to your liking. I adjusted my tips so they are tucked in like stock but I have the older slip-fit tips that nobody (but me) liked

Below is an old pic of what my older-style tips looked like before I decided to push them in further. As of now they are nearly an inch further in. Maybe you could get a similar slip-fit tip or ask Berk if they have any leftover.

Haboob and tiger123 like this.

I take it that they don't do the slip fits anymore? BTW does anyone know what size the Resonators are on this CBE?

Okay so to be sure, it doesn't say "Berk" on the tips? And without HFC's it's pretty quiet at idle/cruising right? Just got my car 2 weeks ago and went to change my oil and bam, huge X pipe, and the rest of the layout all looks the same. Would it say Berk anywhere else on the exhaust so I can know for sure? Really hoping it's this exhaust cause it would save me $1,400!
