Kinetix 370Z/G37 Velocity Upper Intake Manifolds - Z1 Motorsports

Hello everyone,
As many of you have seen, both in person and in pictures here on the370Z.com, we currently have a one of the new prototype Kinetix Velocity Upper Intake Manifolds installed on our project Z1 370Z.

After much praise, discussion and inquiry about the plenum, we are strongly considering the possibility of offering the plenum for sale on our website. We are currently waiting on making the intial purchase in order to gauge the general interest of everyone on here and their listen to their opinions.

At the moment, the plenums are priced around $1050 plus shipping.

Some of the benefits of these plenums, aside from the overall asthetic gains over the plastic upper intake manifold, will be the plenums strength and durability when exposed to the added stresses/ heat of turbocharging/supercharging. The highly polished plenum works with all factory hardware, sensors, intake, etc with the exception to the factory engine covers (..but why would you want to cover this beautiful looking plenum anyway?!)

Exact gains in horsepower are uncertain at this time due to the fact Kinetix is performing some further revisions. So look for an update soon!

If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to post them below or shoot me a PM.

Dustin

If the gains are there (even after already doing the other bolt-ons), I'd definitely be interested! It looks gorgeous.

Caravanshaka 06-01-2010 10:41 AM

personally, I think the pricing should be around $750 at the MOST for it to be worthwhile.

GB yes please. At current pricing...eh, thanks, but i'll pass.

Looks so cool, but i wouldn't want to put that in with my FI setup when the FI kit has not been designed to work with the manifold.

FuszNissan 06-01-2010 11:23 AM

Just re-tune it. But I think it will help with heat and separation issues down the road.

Looks perfect for an N/A setup, wonder how much this will help...

Daishi 06-01-2010 11:37 AM

995 is a bit pricey probably closer to 699 750 with atleast 10whp gain is fair. looks nice though.
