I thought the job of the catalytic converters were to convert carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide? If I am missing something please, don't hesitate to educate me. Anyways, shouldn't the people with LTH, HFC, or Cat-delete worry more about carbon monoxide?

Reduces the levels. HFC's are not an issue.

First of all, great post, the sound is awesome and it's basically something I would consider doing myself
![]() However: what if water or dirt gets in the gap and builds up in the pipe? Just wondering, what made you decide on 4 washers instead of 2? Would it sound any different? |

^Check on it every now and then. Rev it every now and then XD
I honestly am not concerned because the gap is little. @alphaqb: I got this idea from ddharon. Since he used 4 washers, I used 4 washers , but you can experiment and see if 2 washers will sound any different. I would say that would be quieter since the gap will be smaller and the exhaust will flow through the muffler more.

I did it over the weekend with 2 washers each bolt (8 total) and the sound is just right for me. See below for the cold start video (It is actually 5X louder in real life).
Sorry I did not want to rev it too much the rev was actually only up to around 4-5 RPM (the Z limits your rev when it's cold start). But just wanna say I'm extremely happy with the results for such a simple mod. Thanks Gunzero!

Not worth the bother. Much better CBEs out there if you're looking for real gains.
