I did notice, however, when I shift from 1st to 2nd during aggressive acceleration with the VDC on.. the tire chirps. It didn't do that when it was stock. :o

ya serious?

if you are going to spend money on dyno-ing a mod you did to save money...just buy the mod!

I must say I'm amused. Gunzero, great way to find out how loud you want your exhaust to be. I will probably still buy an CBE, but for now I am enjoying the new exhaust note. In the end, the average car buff would not GAF about whether you spent 6 bucks or 1200. It sounds better than stock.

+100

$1450+ for CBE and dyno runs vs $70 for washers and dyno runs. Hmm...

MightyBobo 05-07-2010 08:21 AM

It doesnt matter - there will be little to no gains.

He paid someone $20 for the washer install, then 3 dyno runs typically run around $50. I can do maths. And duh, it would be a waste of $50.

Gunzero 05-07-2010 11:20 AM

Who knows? :- )
Maybe someone who has an access to a dyno can do this before installing his/her new CBE.
That be great :p

No, they don't do this. I was on a Subaru forum for a long time and I had a lot of evo friends, it would have been as bad there as it is here. Not that I genuinely care if people in other forums say or don't say, its just that this is something to be expected from the '98CivicVtecpowa.com or from a crew member of the infamous Icy Hot Stuntaz. Its the same as drilling holes in your muffler.

Actually coming from a 375/430 Subaru legacy, there is a similar thread on the legacy forum on this. Called the zoghaust mod. Strictly dor the sound and I did it for my friend just fir kicks,.. But definitely not the way to go IMO,..

Will a moderator please lock this topic?
Thanks in advance.
-nobody knows if this has gains or not.

So for all the haters, keep on hatin'. Life is so short and I'm glad you're spending your time amusing me.
