Any Reviews On Cobb Post MAF Hoses?

Just as the topic states. I'm sure a few people have these on their car. Any feedback?

I've been wondering about these too. Anyone have any real proven power gains? They seem pretty pointless.

Zsteve 03-30-2010 03:38 PM

they will help even the air flow out some and Im not sure if thats worth the money.

ZforMe 03-30-2010 06:23 PM

I have them. I can't say I noticed any definite gains, but I can say they're alot better looking than the corrugated ones. I would think they did more good than bad in terms of performance (smoother and larger interior). PICS

I'm just wondering when someone is going to start making some engine covers for us..

maybe these post MAF tubes and replacement air filter could be a nice cheap alternative to those that want to do some intake work without a full intake system like the G3's and would be much cheaper than a Short ram intake and probably be better than a short ram intake

That's what I was thinking. I already have K&N drop ins and will most likely pick these up. I would love to have a G3 intake but I refuse to spend that much coin on one. Not that it isn't worth it, just refuse to pay the loot.

ZforMe 03-30-2010 07:00 PM

Side note, delivery box said 2.0lbs. I weighed the box with corrugated tubes, came in at 3.0lbs. So there's a 1lb weight savings which is like a 0.1 HP gain. I think i could feel that...........LOL.

This would probably be the perfect alternative if they had also made the MAF housing a little larger too like in the G3s. Modshack is working on this right now, he makes intake parts as a hobby but sells them too. If you got his MAF housing and a hose piece to replace the stock stuff and add the K&N drop ins your are right there with the G3s. Our intake temps are already there with stock box which is a CAI and does very well in keeping cold air to the box.

He is working on his new MAF housing now and he has some filter tubes he makes already. I had his stuff on my Audi TT.

I dont think he is done with the MAF tubes just yet but he always puts all his stuff in the DIY section.

http://public.fotki.com/ttschwing/370z-stuff/ His album of his mods.

also i think that Tony from Fast Intentions is saying that if you are planning on doing the Long tube headers and Cat back exhaust it would work better with the stock intakes because of the air/fuel ratio. So this could also be a more subtle way to upgrade your intake without affecting the air/fuel ratio whereas a typical cold air intake would

edit: that is, unless you are planning to tune your ecu
