It's under your dash, directly behind the steering wheel. So like if you're sitting in the driver's seat, reach forward under and behind the steering wheel. Kinda like when doing a reacharound.

Nope, i have yet to decide how i am going to tune. I am only an hour or 2 drive to the Austin uprev site, and i think that's their home base. I may just drive up there this weekend and get her tuned and dynod.

true but its a scanner, code eraser, logger, and tuner w/software and a monitor. And when you start modding cars a monitor, scanner, eraser is a great thing to have.

Plus when new tunes come out if Cobb ever does it, they are free to download and load to the car.

Aslo I got the scanner and the tune for 495. And I downloaded the Cobb valet and no start tunes for free that can now be loaded onto the scanner and then the car.

Cobb is moving their HQ to Austin, they also have a facility in Plano, you can do all the same things with their software that you can do with the uprev, and you'll have a standalone unit with built in memory that can log up to 10 hours instead of lugging your laptop with you everywhere to datalog. It has WAAAY more features.

Right, I know all that. I just didn't want the guy to accidentally get the impression that he could get the actual AP + all the custom tunes for $350 is all. Because then he'd be in for nasty surprise.

thats cool, it is a good deal tho.

Also keep in mind, that with that little standalone unit, it has maps for valet mode and anti theft as well as your custom maps, i'd hate to have to bring my laptop with me everywhere I go just so I can access a map.

I thought Osiris recorded, data logged, etc. for 500 then you pay for your dyno tune if you want to?
So basically Cobb and Uprev offer the same feature(s) just one puts it in a nice little device while the other runs on anything.

I don't think you understand how UpRev works. You can load up to 5 maps with UpRev, and you switch between them via your cruise control button. I have valet and anti-theft maps as well, but I don't have to plug in some device to switch to them. There's no need for a laptop as UpRev's ROM has slots for 5 different maps, at they're always at your fingertips, literally.

If you go to UpRev's site and read up on Osiris, it does all that plus it includes 3 custom e-Tunes.

But this would be a problem, I actively use my cruise control :)

It does not remove cruise control, it just uses it in a way to allow you to switch between maps, cruise control function(s) still remain.

I will be getting it when I get my tune next month (after LTH), will post a review plus some pictures of the software, etc.
