my friend gained 16whp in his 350z switching to this exhaust (we dyno'd before and after, arranged the install on a shop dyno day). it sounds amazing in person:

Any recommendations on where I can purchase at good prices? Also, do u guys think that a y-pipe will make a big difference? Does it all work the same where maker/brand make a difference? I know amuse is got y-pipes for sale also so just considering if I should keep it all the same.

I've seen u guys talking about Dyno but yet to see true dyno results.
Please guys, get at me, really trying to figure out if it's really worth the $$$. It just sounds like a big investment especially just for an exhaust. I know this thread is pretty old but by this time. There is got to be more info and results about it. Since it's been out for awhile now.:stirthepot:

Buy with confidence when purchasing from Mark. He is a good guy and has great customer service. Just purchased the R1 Extra titan exhaust and R1 front pipe a few days ago. Just have to play the waiting game now...:stirthepot:
Can't wait til it comes in!

Excellent choice, nothing like getting what makes you truly happy, I did. Had to wait for Tanabe to start producing more y-pipes, well worth the wait. Perfect example of good things come to those who wait!:tiphat:

question i have is. Is it worth the 3X pricetag as an FI or ARK? which have the same "relitivly" gains on a dyno, sound good in their own respect and have build quality that to be honest isnt THAT far off amuse. the only thing amuse straight up no questions wins, is the weight. but really, not paying 2 extra grand to save 20 lbs. could get my exhaust, and some sweet racing seats for that, and probably come out ahead. Is it REALLY worth it, or is this a case of buying a pair of nike instead of rebok for the names inflated prestige. I suppose if your the type that has money to wipe the bum bum with then buying the most expensive wouldnt be a consideration. But I just dont see why this exhaust is so expensive, its not that much better at all.

Material plus labor can be a large increase in price, plus the cost of shipping from another country plus taxes and then factor in the exchange rate for the Yen to USD is horrible.
I believe there is an American company who sells a Ti exhaust for the 370z for under $2,000 which is more on par with what you would expect without additional fees and exchange rates.

that....... surprisingly makes a lot of sense lol. hmmmm I guess your right. Kinda the same things going on with the nismo GT pro and carbon LSD's. im sure in japan it costs locals 900-1200 "usd" but costs us over 2500. damn my living in the US and liking foreign cars.........

titanium is extremely hard to weld raising the costs of building the actual exhaust plus, as Dreamer mentioned, the costs of just getting it to the US really adds a lot to the price. my friend paid a lot for his exhaust but he felt it was worth it. the quality is beyond compare and the gains speak for themselves. find me another exhaust that gains 16whp on a VQ35HR AND drops 50 lbs off the car...

I'm so happy that everyone is enjoy their Powerhouse Amuse products.

For those who are still puzzled, Powerhouse Amuse is more expensive for the previous reasons mentioned in this thread.

On top of that, their titanium is chemically treated to provide stronger welds in addition to ensuring that the titanium does not fade (for those that choose custom gradation finishes).

Amuse exhaust products are sent through extensive research & development.. not just performance tests either. Once performance gains are set they continue stress testing their products to make sure their clients don't have to keep burning through their wallets to buy a new exhaust every time their car is curbed. Amuse believes that if you are modifying your car, you need to modify it with parts that are at least equivalent to factory quality and longevity.

Believe me when I say that this is hands-down, some of the toughest and strongest titanium on the market.
