Really looking forward to these numbers.

semtex 03-16-2010 03:20 PM

Tony, hate to break it to you, but you won't be able to tune/advance the timing. Feel free to PM or call me if you'd like details. I'm eager to see the results none the less though.

vipor 03-16-2010 03:24 PM

I thought Uprev allowed this now?

in for updates

This should finally seal it for alot of people which setup they will wanna go with. Looking forward to the numbers!

Maybe we should make a pool as to people guess the HP, and get I dunno... a Free set of headers for the correct guesser.

Since when? It's news to me if they do. When Sharif tuned my car, he could advance timing, but we discovered that the timing adjustments don't actually 'go anywhere'. Like the ECU just ignores our inputs and does its own thing. So all we were really able to impact was AFR.

That may be it, people in the system can advance the timing but the ECU is doing an override.

This is news to me as well. How long ago was your car tuned @ Forged? My tuner says he can do it but I will call him back to reconfirm!

End of October of last year. You might want to chat with Sharif as well. The last bit of news I heard from Sharif on this is that he spoke with UpRev and they told him that they had no plans to remedy the limitation. If that has changed, I will be ecstatic as that'd mean that after I get my LTH's on, a re-tune will do more than just adjust my AFR!

pbpd4816 03-16-2010 04:19 PM

So....there really isn't any significant difference between the UpRev and Cobb as of yet?

Yeah give me a call and we will get you on the list. Payment details are minimal...

Thanks, Tony

Good news, Sebastian from SpecialtyZ just got off of the phone with Richard from UPRev. From what Sebastian is telling me, Richard told him it is not an issue at this point and advancing the timing will not be a problem!

dainedazz 03-16-2010 06:15 PM

Nice ^^ In for the results

G37Sam 03-16-2010 06:16 PM

Sorry for going off-topic, but when I had my car tuned in Dubai via UpRev a month ago, timing was advanced, it's where most of the power came from actually. My ECU Rom Number was sent to UpRev themselves to have it unlocked and I was assured both A/F tables and Ignition timing tables could be tuned.

Can't wait for updates Tony

cotizi 03-16-2010 07:43 PM

just FYI the second i get my headers im going to drop it off at Uprev HQ here in austin and get it dyno before/after tune as well, and maybe make some correlation with whatever results we see here!

B1nks 03-17-2010 01:47 AM

In for the results.

docaam 03-17-2010 01:58 AM

So G37SAM...you are about to get your future figures soon (yours might be more as these are with 18" resonators)....I will be exactly on the same setup and tune but with Injen CAI not G3

Waiting :)

B1nks 03-17-2010 03:52 AM

This could be a huge selling point for me if this will produce enough. I haven't decided whether to do this of HFC/RTP.

kannibul 03-17-2010 08:31 AM

Seeing the dyno charts w/ headers, there was a wierd spot, that looked like the car was running a bit fat - making it lose power in one small area...

I bet that tune fixes it. ;)

In for updates...

That is exactly what we are shooting for! If the ECU takes what we demand, we can fix all of it!

I can't wait to see the results with the Uprev tune.

LateralG'z 03-17-2010 09:25 PM

i am subscribing, Definitely want to see the results, Chris(failsafeperformance) may need to change to F.I. LTH after all, how long till the headers are in full production?

LateralG'z 03-17-2010 09:26 PM

may need to change stage 1 to F.I. LTH's I will give ya a call when I get back into town late next week

Keep us posted, consistency is key, if everyone shows great gains that'd be awesome! I'm headed to get a baseline reading this week on a dynojet (it's a cheap hook up). I'm fully stock with test pipes can't wait till my LTH's get here then someone can take my TP's for $150

bejan 03-18-2010 12:30 PM

This might sound like a silly question but is it worth the UpRev dyno tune with just the FI HFCs and FI cat back exhaust? Will there be better gains? Or should I just wait to do the UpRev dyno tune for when I get the headers down the road? Thanks in advance! =]

LaSeeno 03-18-2010 12:31 PM

Tuesday can't come soon enough.

If you're planning to get the headers, I'd wait. What about the intake? Are you going to upgrade it?

Semtex, which intake do you recommend? I was looking at Injen CAI. I want to stay away from Stillen because of the cutting. Maybe when Tony has time, he can put together an FI Intake :happydance: !!

Best is Stillen Gen III, cutting is not that bad and well worth it.

Performance aside because I have never dynoed the Ingen long tube CAI but when I went to the dyno with the Stillen Gen III it was less than impressive!

Aside of all that when it comes down to looks, fitment and overall quality, you cannot touch the Ingen with any of the others. I have installed both the Stillen and Ingen and I was more impressed at how the Ingen fit the car like it was actually designed for it. To me the Stillen fit like it was never designed for the car originally just modified to fit.

As all of you know, I do not carry anyones Else's products but our own! After my first Ingen install, I contacted them directly. I am working to set up a direct dealer account. I was so impressed at the entire setup that it convinced me that I need to carry them. Hopefully they will be on the website in the future.

The only gripe that I have with the Ingen is that when you put their windshield washer reservoir in, it doest not allow you to retain the sending unit that tells you when your wiper fluid is low. Maybe they can make that modification in the future.

If any of you are interested in the Ingen long tube CAI contact me directly, I can get them for you...

Thanks, Tony
