You can also call and have them hold it at the sorting facility and can pick it up there. I would install it myself but I don't have anywhere to do it really since I live at apartments. I was already wanting to get the car dyno'd on the SSA dyno so I figured I'd get it put on there.

If you want I can put your exhaust on for ya. I did dreamers last night, took a little less than 2 hours.

Shoot me a pm if your interested, I'm sure we can figure something out.

1.) I've had toasters delivered to my house with better protection. Unlike the OP, I had no paper inbetween the pieces helping to "fill out" the box. I got a few pieces of bubble wrap around each piece, but not much other than that. It looks like someone spent an entire 5 minutes prepping this order for shipment. Luckily, even though the box was almost entirely destroyed during shipping, the exhaust appears to be free of any dents or dings....surprisingly.

2. Some other exhaust customers of other companies speak highly of the "welds" in the exhaust. I'm not an expert, but these welds do not appear to be top of the line. I'll take some pictures later, but it looks like a rush job with zero quality control.

3. I got a BERK poster of a BMW. WTF?

4. It fits in my car, even with my Zenclosures 12" box in the back! A little cramped, but I can make it to the exhaust shop just fine. Definitely a good thing!

Hopefully, this thing sounds amazing and my initial reaction will be forgotten. Right now, I'm pretty disappointed.

Ooooph! Not the direction I thought the reviews would be going...

Well some of his points are UPS (they suck), why did they send us a BMW poster (?), and I am not expert on welds but they look good to me.

Isn't Berk in charge of the actual packaging before shipment? How can one box be with paper, another be packed with Styrofoam peanuts, and my box only have the thinnest possible bubble wrap?

I'll take some pictures of the welds I'm talking about, perhaps I'm not accurately describing what I'm seeing.

Damn Mattie I wish you had taken pics of the condition of the box upon delivery.

I guess when someone says 'free shipping', it should be taken with a grain of salt. :icon14:

Me and the UPS guy had a long talk. I was signing until I made sure everything was okay.

Here are a few pics of the box (resting on top of my VW!).

And here's a quick example of a weld that doesn't look so good to me. By all means, if this is a great weld, let me know. Maybe I'm a just a "noob" when it comes to metal work!

Working now?

theDreamer 03-09-2010 08:34 PM

Yep, your box looks a bit worse than mine.
Similar hole and the upper parts of the box look smashed inward like mine was but mine was not that extreme. On the welds I am no expert either.

spearfish25 03-09-2010 08:35 PM

That box is disgusting. If it was outside my door, I'd mistake it for garbage. Welds seem ok, but I'm not metallurgist.

Red370 03-09-2010 08:36 PM

Not the prettiest welds but they look solid for sure.
