AEM dual cold air intake (long tube)

I used my car as a test mule almost 9 months ago for this intake, and finally they will be done in around 2 weeks!! Just wanted to keep everyone informed :)

dang370z 01-08-2010 04:15 AM

F***ing nice have seen from AEM for a while

Red370 01-08-2010 08:13 AM

Oh hell yeah, AEM makes amazing products, cant wait to see the kind of power these make.

vipor 01-08-2010 08:16 AM

someone was asking about these yesterday, kinda funny. good timing.

Zeto 01-08-2010 10:26 AM

Nice! Can't wait to see the results!

jmlenz 01-08-2010 12:03 PM

Marco -

Has AEM told you anything about them? Like material, routing, etc?

M.Bonanni 01-08-2010 12:20 PM

Saw their 370Z intakes at SEMA and they look awesome!

Its going to be like injen/stillen long tube but I believe uses a new technology called EFI. AEM's ETI Cold Air Intake uses an interface plugged in line with the MAF harness to alter the monitoring of MAF and allow maximum flow without the compromise.

CBRich 01-08-2010 02:25 PM

Hmmm . . . sounds interesting. You wouldn't happen to know if the front bumper needs to be removed would you?

m4a1mustang 01-08-2010 02:27 PM

Front bumper will have to be removed for ANY long tube system. Its super easy, though.

CBRich 01-08-2010 03:05 PM

I'm not concerned about the difficulty but removing it every time you want to clean the filters is annoying.

Not 100% sure but you might be able to get to just the filters from underneath with the under-tray removed. If thats the case, i would just clean the filters at the same time I changed the oil since you need to remove the under-tray for that anyway.

FuszNissan 01-08-2010 03:14 PM

Filters are usually good for 20,000 miles, shouldn't be an issue. And the bumper comes on in about a half hour.

m4a1mustang 01-08-2010 03:42 PM

Yeah. Just take care of it along with an oil change.... not that big of a deal. You can get it off in just a few minutes after you've done it once.

Alright, you have until tax return time to get some dyno charts up. And be warned, I. File. Early.

Zeto 02-06-2010 09:31 PM

LOL @ CBRich! Any updates?

the genesis coupe got just about everything much quicker than we did. only because the car is so cheap and have higher volume of sales.. money is the name of the game...

DUDE!!! Let's get some info, pics, and numbers!!!!

G Fo12ce 02-14-2010 09:33 AM

I hope they test it on Nismo models. The front bumper/air guides and tuning are a little different.
