Hondo from Gas Monkey

I have this exhaust, I like it overall but am looking at cutting out the resonators and replacing it with vibrant ones. My passenger side tip was too high, so I used washers on the exhaust hanger bracket for now. I plan to get the exhaust shop to take it off and reposition it so the tips hang more even, since I'll be there getting resonators swapped.
I'm just deciding between vibrant's "bottle" resonator or their "ultra quiet" resonators. Sent from my SM-N920W8 using Tapatalk |
I went with the Amazon Rev9 exhaust similar to yours (since I asked you earlier in the thread) and enjoyed it but the drone was a bit much. Flooring the car also made it sound like there was an exhaust leak (there wasn't) and sound of rushing air as opposed to the expected sound. Long story short I spent $800 on a used FI CBE and it's a night and day difference. IMO if I was to do it again from the start I'd spend the extra $400 for quality to be happier in the long run but that's just my :twocents:

Hmm, I was considering this as well, well waiting to find someone selling a used HKS exhaust locally, or try replacing the resonators on this. I haven't had any issues so far. On wot, I actually love how it sounds. It's the daily driving drone I don't like.

It's also a plus that the Stillen looks almost stock with its rolled tips. One thing with the DNA, I love the sound on full throttle. I've also got resonated test pipes. |
You gunna sell the old exhaust by chance lol

Yes but local only. Shipping from Canada to the US will be pricey haha

I bought a set in January right after I bought the z. tips are still burnt, but then again I have only 300 miles on it, my problem is the driver side tip is way off from the center. passenger side is perfect. love the sound of them.
