Yeah 370ZSteve...Thanks for sharing and posting up the vid.....Did you just wash your car? Could see some water flying out of the exhaust when you were going on it...

LOL, nope, the car was not fully warmed up yet when I took the vid, that was condensation. I thought at first the exhaust had pissed all over the camera lens :p

That can just be condensation as the exhaust heats up rapidly.

Installed mine yesterday, car sounds so much sweeter between 1K and 4K, it was like music to my ears!

Box was well packaged, all bolts and pieces were there.

Bolted up without much issue, slight alignment issue where the x-pipe mates with the stock cats but a little jiggling of the x-pipe and the flex joints took care of it. Total install time from lift up to lift down, 1 hour.

BOLIO 671 03-31-2010 09:30 PM

Great to hear and congrats on getting your exhaust in good shape with no issues regarding installation

:( I'm at 3 weeks install time but it's not the exhausts fault. AAaagghh now nissan sucks at keeping a deadline.

Where can we buy the CBE? Is it out to the general public yet?

Anyone have one that has decided to go a different route? I'll take it off your hands. :)

labk888 04-04-2010 11:36 PM

I also would like to know if these are available to the public yet. I am trying to decide between Berk HFC + Berk CBE vs FI HFC + FI CBE. Has anyone experienced
both in person ?

1slow370 04-04-2010 11:42 PM

got the car running friday just need to put in the last stub shaft before i can actually drive it but the differential is mounted in the car so i could put the back half of the exhaust on. had to finagle the bolts a little during install but nothing out of the ordinary for an exhaust. fit's good and the tips line up great. gave the stickers to my buddy to throw on his jetta we are ricing out.

Edit: also if the F.I. is louder than the berk there is no way in hell i would buy it as i like not being pulled over or having my neighbors call the cops.

They're available to the public and have been....The first two group orders were the initial launch of the product...Just go to Berks website... www.berkstechnology.com or you can call them direct to place your order...FYI...you won't see the CBE on the website, because they haven't had time to update it...They've been busy working on back orders.....Since they're on back order right now, and you can anticipate a 4-6 week wait, as this exhaust system is custom built...The sooner you put in your order, the sooner you'll have it on your door step...You can expect a 5-7 week wait if you chose to go for the FI Exhaust, as both of these exhausts are in high demand!

The FI is louder if you get the big CF cans.

Nice, Steve. Ill probably be getting mine re-dyno-ed beginning of next month. Bleeding a bit in the pocketbook, this month...

MightyBobo 04-06-2010 03:12 PM

BTW, I called Berk about my exhaust being slightly to the right - they are sending me a spacer and 2 new gaskets, no questions asked. Thumbs up to them.

That's pretty impressive...especially coming from a Mustang Dyno.....I know that you didn't do a baseline...but do you really feel a difference on the butt dyno?

Pretty cool, I asked berk 3 weeks ago for washers and gaskets. I believe I may get it this coming week.

You're one of the fortunate ones...Guess who ever was taking care of shipping your package took good care of it....Berk put out an announcement that all the misalignment on the exhausts were caused through the shipping...poor packaging I guess...They announced that this was what caused the hold up for the second group of customers that were supposed to receive their exhaust in April....Curious to see what type of improvements they made with their packaging

A very small percentage of customers reported fitment issues with the Berk CBE. One of the more popular CBE brands sold on these forums had WAY more issues at release, and have since fixed their issues.

BOLIO 671 04-12-2010 03:06 AM

^^^ An announcement made by BERK stated that they had several reported issues regarding misaligment which through the cooperation and correlation of several customers they were able to identify that this problem was caused by bent hangers...They were able to determine that the hangers were bent due to the packaging of the exhaust and the way it was handled during its shipments....

This is just what I heard from BERK as to the reason of the delay for the April shipping...If you are right...then that's good news to hear....

370Zsteve 04-12-2010 06:04 AM

^^^ Let's hope it can make it to Guam!

:iagree:.....I will be praying.....With the amount of distance its gonna have to travel, I hope they pack that thing in a steel crate...Cuz I can already imagine the beating its gonna take just getting here.....:rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

ZoomtoZ 04-12-2010 06:09 PM

I ordered mine today from Brian at Berk. Forgot to ask him if shipping issues were worked upon. I already had a tab break on my headlights when shipping out to MRWorks, but they were real champs and fixed it for me. I don't need any more issues.

ChrisSlicks 04-12-2010 06:57 PM

Berk stepped it up on shipping, the later shipments were well packed and didn't have issues.

Is this the only mod you have on the car ?

Also in regards to the shipping problems being early; I don't know what the deal with that was but I was #2 on the list and mine was packed the way they all should have been. Don't know why I lucked out like that but I'm not complaining either !
