Thanks for the feedback berk. Again, minus the packaging, this system is incredible!
|
Well after a 10 hour day, 2:15 min ride home. Some 2 hours added to that the Berk system is on. Sounds great just wish it wasn't going to rain all weekend, so I could let her breath alittle. Time for some over due sleep...

Pretty close to JB1's weight....he weighed his exhaust with the packaging still on it.... |
That's 2.1 lbs less than stillens cbe.

Just finished installing Berk exhaust(already had HFC's). Easy one man job if you just bolt it in place, but helper is required to perfectly align each point of connection. I managed to get the wife to crawl underneath the car and tighten some bolts while I lined up the matching flanges. The exhaust tips lined up perfectly.
The sound is much lower pitched and mellow when cruising through the neighborhood. As has been reported before, no drone at highway speeds. Berk really got it right on this product. |

I for one don't plan on using UPS for shipping any of my wife's large furniture items after this fiasco. On another note, BERK X-PIPE INSTALLED, NO ISSUES, SOUND IS AS 370ZDUB SAYS "INTOXICATING". GREAT JOB BERK! :tiphat: Sorry for shouting. Back to our regular programming. |

^^ Finally, a clean install...haha. Even with all the bad rep BERK is getting lately with this exhaust, that still IS a fine looking system.....when installed correctly.

Today I got the last cbe from berk. Package looked good and everything looked undamaged. I did lay it out on the ground to make sure every piece lined up, which it did. Overall the cbe looked ok, there were some scratches but because it is underneath the car it didn't bother me too much.
I did the install alone and it took me about 3 hrs one hour of that was unbolting the stock cbe. The y pipe didn't exactly line up to the cats but luckily the material of the y pipe flexes with a lot of force. I wasn't able to torque some of the nuts like 2 on the cats because the flexible metal got in the way of my socket. I did tighten those nuts by hand. The tips didn't line up perfectly. Took a drive afterward and definitely better than the silent stock exhaust, no drone by the way. |

In the few days I've driven since installing the BERK exhaust, I have to say, the butt dyno approves! It feels incredibly more responsive, especially in the 3-6k RPM range. I would be surprised if the BERK CBE/HFC combo hasn't added 30-40 whp.
And I have to say it again, the "harshness" of 6.5K+ in this engine is all but gone with this exhaust. I'm sure it's still "there", but I no longer can feel/hear it. All I hear at 6.5k RPM is magic. |
