Have a link to those? Gonna need some sort of way to prevent this pretty soon.

They're called "pre-filter" or "hydro shields" etc. and most companies make them and call it their own personal names. Injen has some, K&N, AEM etc. Its meant to prevent large amount of humidity to reach your filter and "water clog" it to the point your engine would be starving for air, thus, preventing "water bogging" your engine. its not perfect and not meant to be an underwater snorkel like some people found out, but it enables you to drive normally without having issues in storms or winter etc.

I never had an issue with mine and it worked as advertised, I did the water hose test and it worked...I was actually impressed by it...;)

I guess your other option is to ensure you have a custom made "3 face splash shield (front/sides/bottom" designed for your interior bumper area where your filter will reside so that you don't have water splashing on your filter or the valve safety the guys are talking about, I heard that works too.

Another plus 1 for the Hydroshields.

Been driving in the rain without issue. I had been wary since I have an aftermarket front with vents that open up directly to the intakes.

I also tested them like Karnak did prior to install and was equally impressed.

The Injens or AEMs were my only long tube options and happy I stuck with the Injens and shields.
