Also if you're still planning on doing more engine mods don't tune

I ran FI catback exhaust and FI HFCs, along with a Stillen Gen 3 CAI without a tune on my daily driver for a year, no issues. I got an ECUTek tune because I wanted the racerom features and to be able to say I'm over 310whp, really no other reason.

I know everyone *says* you need a tune with three breather mods, but no one ever says *why*. From my anecdotal experience, I say don't stress about the tune. Get it when you want it, if you want it.

Yes hours can be spent on these cars, but that is the cheap part - LOL

I like the honest replies and i also have had no issues with I.G. exhaust, no tune .. 1,000 miles plus on this set up

Did you notice a difference performance-wise after the tune?

I noticed things like fixed throttle lag, and a slight improvement in mpg. The racerom features; launch control, FF shifting, and Valet mode are almost worth it alone. I have the dyno sheets to prove a 22 whp gain, however the butt dyno can't tell the difference. I suspect where you get it tuned probably makes a difference in how well your mods get maximized.

Thanks for the feedback. I have done the big three breather mods but the car seems to be running fine.

Sounds like I should bite the bullet and get ready to drop another $500 for a tune! Super, just when I was also planning on dropping $1500 on some Michelin PSS steamrollers!

Wife will be thrilled!
