Quad Tips
 

Hey everyone, I have a 11 Nismo and I am running the AAM short tails with 4" tips. Looking for tip ideas. Anyone ever run quad tips off their short tails? also I posted in the Nismo section regarding another issue (quad tip fitment) if your able to help with that great. here's the other thread

Quad tips won't fit well or look good with the factory bumper exhaust cut outs. If you're going to go quad you should modify the bumper to make them fit. But yes, it would be easy to get a 1-2 inlet/outlet piece of pipe and and find an additional set of AAM tips to do this and have your muffler shop fab on a new hangar

Even with a nismo rear bumper it's huge ha

looks like its touching the bumper ? hope not :eekdance:

might look better if you cut out the diffuser to match

Its not touching the bumper it gets smaller after the first 3 inches so I have about a 1/2" to a inch between the bumper and the tip.

not really.. but okay. and the only way you can see the cut out is if you squat to tip level and look which is where I held my phone to take the picture..

Two 4-5" tips > Four pea-shooters

Two 3.5" tips =7"??? 7>5...

hows the sound ?

The pea shooters look huge compared to the tiny 4" tip on a nismo bumper.. Why I changed them.. And the sound isn't much different maybe a tad I haven't drove it enough to tell I don't really drive during the week.

To me it looks like someone put the wrong exhaust on the car because they couldn't afford the correct one.

just bought used short tails and put tips on.. not everyone can afford a 3000$ exhaust

$200 ebay exhaust ???

why would I take off my nismo exhaust and put on a 200$ ebay exhaust. short tails were to get a little sound till i decide to get a good exhaust that's better than what i got.. i listened to tons of clips and hated all the cheap ones.. you get what you payfor

washer mod ???

I like the short tails.. the sound is better in my opinion than a lot of others and i have 140$ in it.. did you buy the 325$ exhaust on ebay for yours? that's the cheapest one..

**** anyone who puts spacers in between their exhaust flanges to "make it sound better"

A neighborhood shop can fab up a muffler delete for $150. Do it the right way or don't do it at all.

That's why I waited for a deal on short tails which I finally got at 140$ which is pretty dang cheap IMO..

I think 4" tips will look good if you can fit it on a Nismo

I probably could.. I'll go that rout next when I find come accrues a deal on a cool set. I love the quad look
