Motordyne and Z1 port?

Has any had their motordyne intake ported by Z1? I had emailed them about it and they said they had done it before and it was possible but had no idea on what kind of power it created. Have any of you had the port done on a motordyne and can share the results? I would hate to spend 600+ on a motordyne that would give simaler results to a Z1 porting and than another 250 for the port to have not results.

Last stupid question going through the forum on the motordyne i see missed answers on being able to get the stock engine cover back over the motordyne intake. Can any one confirm I could put my stock cover back versus that little plexiglass plate I've seen?

My DE.50 equivalent manifold was ported by Z1, not a clue how much power it makes over just my manifold, sorry

The butt dyno feel any difference?

I have the Z1. I didn't feel much of a difference. I also did a retune. I lost power from my last dyno, it could be the environment so take it w/ a grain of salt. Same dyne, different day...

I would say all of the MD Manifold Zs i've seen have the plate installed or nothing. None had the original cover.

I think it wouldn't require much modification to get it to work, i know a few of the Z/G engine covers are interchangable.

I had a motordyne IM on my G37 and I was able to fit my engine cover however the cover on my Nismo is 2 piece and my G's cover was one piece.

I had my factory nismo engine cover installed when I was running the MD manifold...no fitment issues.

Thanks 12Nismo, I know that should not be a real factor but to me it is.

From what I've heard, Z1 makes more top end power, but the Motordyne gives more mid-range.

I wish i never got the motordyne m370. Port your stock one as that has proven results already.

Why? It has great gains...

My DE.50 manifold is exactly the same and it performed amazing

You have my number... Lol

I see you're in Wilmington NC,,,I used to deliver to the Wilson store's years ago.
This is a very SUCK time of year to get good dyno results/unless you had your's dyno'd or tuned in the heat.
Had my ~Z~ dyno-tuned@Z1 in middle of May;after driving 200+ miles & number's were lower than i expected (309rwhp),,,it was lunchtime before they began & temp was warm....I have only a stock plenum for now,so can't speak for the ported one's.
Good luck if you go that route & dyno right before you swap intake & re-dyno to see results.......that's about the best way-pending weather conditions.
