I don't think it stands for anything. The name of the company is R2C Performance.

You can also look at the Z1 CAI. It just depends what you like more. K&N does not make a CAI/long tubes.

Btw, Stillen also uses AEM dry filters on their Gen. III CAI.

dang i didnt know that! You get the option on filter brand you would like with the intake system.

I have Gen2 with k&n filters and can verify that with the heat shields the intake temp runs about 10 degrees hotter then ambient temps. Without the shields installed you will see +50 degrees.

I can only imagine the Gen3 is even better

I personally don't like the filters behind the bumper. Too much of a pain to service them, and I like to keep my filters nice and clean. I'm staying with the stock intake boxes with HPS intake tubes. I also have R2C drop-in filters on order. That should give me a bit more airflow. I assume the stock boxes shield the air a bit from the temps as well, so no need for an intake with uncovered filters inside the engine bay. I'm no expert, just my preference.

The nice thing with the Z1 long tube CAI is that there is not cutting required for installation.
Remove bumper, plug & play. The removal of the bumper is a pain in the @$$.
