I can't see this making the numbers to buy it...I know some will but for me it's has to be at least 20whp and 20wtq....I just hope they do baseline dyno testing on a car that is already modded

[QUOTE=Elmo370z;3390425]They probably did a flow test on the manifold. There.isnt a z or g platform that has 100 psi and makes 2500 hp. Come on man, (cris berman voice)[/

Lol it was sarcasm, man.

Elmo370z 01-18-2016 09:37 AM

I figured lol

This is useless without dynos

Yea, but at least someone is making one for our Z's.

Gotta start somewhere.

chuckie311 01-18-2016 01:12 PM

Unless the numbers are there to back up the cost I highly doubt anyone would buy this..they should have waited until they them In hand and testing was done! 2 more months until any numbers might be released..

Zed-Hed 01-18-2016 01:46 PM

They must know what gains are available. Why market the product.

EzDz 01-18-2016 01:55 PM

What marketing... they said look at this manifold, try it without any dynos

I'm certain it's a matter of wanting to try and recoup engineering and manufacturing costs. It does suck to not have numbers to line up with that price tag though.

I still think I might grab one, just the way it looks is sexy enough for me to want it as an engine topper.

Yeah!

Compare that Z1 is available for 275$ (535$ Payng the core) and M370 for 608$

....so....

With the same gain, 1000$ for AEM is so much (The difference that I think to pay is due only for the pretty look intake)!

Think about that a GTR used intake is available for 800$!

That's what I am thinking & that is a lot to gain from just an intake manifold. I hope they make it.

The GTR manifold makes no power on N/A set ups. They ran it on a N/A race car.
It only works on forced induction set ups on a 370 Z or other 3.7 set ups
I would have had one years ago.
I like the look of this manifold but with out a dyno on it I would not buy it.
Its a lot of money but it looks like it quality built.
I have the 370 M on my car and it rocks with it compared to the stock 370 set up
if it make 15 to 20 RWHP more compared to the same set just by switch manifolds then its a great deal. Hopefully it will not loose bottom or midrange power.
On Forced induction it should rock.

275 is reasonable i guess if you have no motivation to sand down and port the manifold yourself.. and if you pay 608$ for a VQ35HR intake that's your fault..

i made the VQ35HR intake for myself for less than 150 dollars.. i ported my own stock manifold myself as well..

would i spend 2000k for a manifold that makes less than 20whp or 20wtq NOPE..

so with taxes and shipping your looking at 2300.. and lets say if nets you 15whp thats 153 dollar a HP..

im not paying 2300$ for something to look pretty with possibly the same gains as something i have on my car already!
