Early Easter Egg- New AAM Competition 370Z/G37 Product!

Maybe we're being haters since this whole product launch was a disaster? That they made a lot of promises and kept none? How about you wait until you get your kit from them before you talk about how great their stuff is. Of course they were responsive to your questions. Let's see how that holds up after the check clears.

Why should we be grateful? Their product performs worse than the rj manufacturing manifold. By far. We should be grateful they repeatedly failed and lied to us over and over about it?

You do realize they took money for this part, and the early adopters got garbage, right?

shadow85 02-14-2017 06:23 AM

I am going to wait and see if their kit is good. I don't recall saying their stuff 'IS' good. I'm sure I only said I have 'HEARD' their stuff is good, so I am hoping it is, and yes I will see when I get my kit. :)

Chuck33079 02-14-2017 06:29 AM

So you have zero firsthand experience with their stuff, but you think we should be grateful they build overpriced underperforming parts, lie about the status of the project while taking money for parts that end up looking like ****? Did you even read through both of the threads on this? They are YEARS late after taking money for this thing. They simply disappear for months rather than answer questions.

Good luck with their tt kit. You wouldn't be the first person to get one of their kits and then have them never answer a phone call or email again.

BTW AAM have been helpful and great at communicating with me!

Guys why is everyone being haters? They should be greatful that a company like AAM are going out of their way to continue to make and research into products into our beloved Zs. Why does everyone expect a company to make and release a product that craps out high HP at low cost, the most ideal situations can't always be created, a company can only try to get their as best as possible. Not everything can be perfect, even if there arn't any defects in the product.

Anways waiting on some AAM products myself, hoping it is as good as I hear it is! I have faith in them.

Peace guys...

Because computers. With the wonders of 3D CAD/solid modeling, CFD, and 3D printing there's no reason a prototype manifold shouldn't come to fruition in just a few weeks with just a little fine tuning required. You then slap the prototype on a test car and voila, results.

All of these modern technologies are truly amazing resources, which we use regularly. The casting process is by far the most time consuming part of this particular project. Creating a custom cast mold for production requires a substantial investment of both time and money.

On top of this, the GT-R intake manifold has been proven to give poor results on high hp forced induction builds with the VQ37 platform, showing significant top-end loss.

Really? Looks like every car they tested it on made more than 36 whp. Especially when they used a high-hp build like you did for testing. So, if those are considered "poor results", what does that make 36 whp? So, tell us why we wouldn't happily pay a little more for a better looking product that makes more power?

Cant trust most companies trying to sell a product, they are gonna tell you anything to sell the product! Like a used car salesman! I like to see real world evidence of gains and whatnot from someone who has bought it and not in any way affiliated with a company who sells the product. Independent testing tells all

What did you hear that leads you to have faith in them? :icon14: :icon08:

Hoping to have some independent testing data on the AAM Competition intake manifold as soon as Jake Justice has his 370Z ready to hit the dyno.

Will keep everyone posted.

They have good exhaust manifolds and great performing TT kits. As good as the FI TT kits I hear.
