It is tack welded. I found out when I installed my FI exhaust. I beat the crap out of one of the bolt heads with an 1/2" impact only to figure it out afterwards...LOL

It's a nismo mid pipe. I'm just using the picture for example because the two studs on my stock mid pipe are stripped just like it :mad:

Aren't the non-Nismo exhaust bolts tack welded just the same? You should be able to beat them out with a hammer. Five or six solid blows with a small sledge should do the trick. Set the pipe in a mounted vice and close it (not too tight) to where the flange is sitting on top of the vice. Hold the pipe securely in one hand and hammer away with the other. Goggles for safety.

And btw the bolt was welded on my oem mid pipe. Bastard Nissan :horse:
