because single exhausts save weight especially here where it's a race car application, it can be argued that it provides better flow as well which is really important in TT appications

I am making one over the next few weeks just as a garage project, it wont be that pretty but when its jet hot coated it will be good enough, side exit for me.

Wife already kicking off as I promised I woudl not mod this vehicle.... ;-0

NYBladeZ 12-12-2009 08:56 PM

^^you and me both though I swear I never promised I wouldn't fk with the Z, it's a Z after all you can't help it especially when the market starts picking up

motoextreme 12-12-2009 09:12 PM

I'd sacrifice a lb or two or even a HP or TWO with a cool exhaust exit like the above.

Case in point...Streetbikes. Some went to undertail exhausts and some went back to the stubby side pipes. Undertail looks 1000 times cooler, like a ducati.

Togo 12-12-2009 09:16 PM

I've got undertail :D

motoextreme 12-12-2009 09:29 PM

HAHAHAHAHA...sweet!

PS. I just emailed Tony at FI to see if he would make one for me when my cars done.

Whatever happened to the center exhaust idea? Has anyone managed to produce one?
I know the only people that did center exits when I owned my 350 was stillen (looked crappy)
And fast intentions. (looked amazing)

If noone has, can anyone point me in the right direction on these boards for a quad exhaust? like this one Zele Performance 370z Pricing Official | 370zblog.com

travisjb 12-23-2010 10:31 PM

I used to have it running out the left hole stock location... got tired of it smacking rumble strips at the track, so now it exits through a hole in the rear fascia

Bringing back this thread because I really like this centered single exhaust idea.

I really like the look of this despite the funky photoshop(diffuser fins are kinda wonky)

Solus, did you ever complete this on your car, how did it turn out?

EDIT: Thinking something like this and asking if it can be double walled/rolled for a thicker more quality look to it. I dont know, its a start...

Here is a simliar tip that is already rolled.

It's only a 2.5" inlet, but I'm thinking it could probably be cut and fitted to 3" pipe without too much trouble. It is a bit disconcerting that their display model appears to have the chrome flaking off though :ugh2:

that chopped Z looks awesome! I would be al over this if somebody made it.
would save a few lbs of weight and it should be cheaper than the others.
