Ported Lower Manifold @Synergy Composites
Just thought I would post my experience with getting my lower manifold ported at Synergy Composites (no drama, just a review).
I sent my manifold to be ported at Synergy a couple weeks ago just before things started going off the rails here on the forums. Shawn contacted me as I had sent my manifold directly to Synergy and assured me that my order would not be affected and everything was proceeding as planned. Everything was handled professionally and I had no issues at all through the entire process. I received my manifold back the end of last week and have since put it back on the car. Quality and consistency between the runners looks to be excellent. http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/...psysffjfau.jpg http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/...psu8cuthrx.jpg http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/...psjzjjxd4p.jpg http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/...psqqhzoie7.jpg I would have no issues sending any parts directly to Synergy to have work done, very pleased with the results and communication. |
I think the best bet would be to deal directly with Shawn. From what iv heard the guy has great customer service. I'm probably going to sent stuff straight to him, and not "his" middle man lol
|
Looks good. Care to share what it cost?
|
Are you porting anything else? What are ur plans? Notice anything?
|
I still have to get all the parts on the car, I had the upper manifold ported locally, the lower manifold ported at Synergy and the throttle bodies bored out at MaxBore.
Once I get them all back and on the car I will be able to see what difference it made. I also have Uprev and will likely get the tune checked and tweaked if necessary due to the changes to the intake system. I paid the forum price for the lower manifold porting ($295). I put the lower manifold on last night, no issues, just need the follow the service manual as there are specific 2 step torque levels and pattern to follow. |
I also had a good experience with him also. All tho he shipped my manifold to the UPS store and not my house LOL :/.

I was talking to Shawn and he said the best way to contact him if anyone from the forums wants work done now is directly through:
Shawn"at"synergycomposites.net or through Synergy Composites | Custom Composites Shop | Indianapolis, IN |
So the other guy is fired. Does Shawn knows his former associate still uses his business name on the forum?
|
I don't know any specifics but Shawn said that he had contacted the forum administrators and all future inquires will to go directly to him, no more intermediate representatives.
As far as I understand he is still an approved sponsor vendor but I don't believe that he himself has a user name on here yet. |
I tried that email and it didn't work? I sent him an email though the website tho
|
Hmm, that's the e-mail he gave me, I have been going through his website or Facebook messages, best to use those then.
|
Shawn is a stand up guy. I would do business with him and his company again.

I messaged him back and forth mostly through their Facebook page and usually got a quick response within a day or so.
^ I also have my OEM upper manifold for sale if you looking for one of those to port as well. *edit* Never mind, should have looked at your signature, you have a M370... |
So here's a question on lower intake manifold gaskets, Since I never R&R a 370z intake.
The gasket's that I received from Nissan Parts over the net. came as 3 metal gaskets together riveted at the bottom. So is this a composite metal gasket? What I thought I was purchasing was a gasket set like every other normal V-8 I've worked on. Can someone please enlighten me before I take this apart. |
