Stock filter looks like a K&N

Does the stock filter appear to resemble the K&N. Can someone explain to a newbie the difference in technical aspects of the K&N red filters vs our stock red filters.

Can someone explain to a newbie the difference in technical aspects of the K&N red filters vs our stock red filters. Our stock ones look like great quality.
