Okaaaaay this was an odd morning. Driving into work coming through on Nimitz, got passed by a black and a white (with Cali plates) 370Z. Think this is the most 370Z's I have seen in one place besides the dealership. :tup:

I think I saw that car too... didn't see the plates though.

I know of a blue 350Z that always seems to see you coming out of Hickam area.

LOL...kinda hard not to miss a yellow one. :tup:

I just got orders to Pearl Harbor. I should be out there middle of June sometime. I drive a monterey blue base coupe. I'll have Guam plates, so if you see me, wave!

I'd definitely be interested in getting together for the meets. Here in Guam, quite a few guys have 370z, not many older guys per-se.

I can't wait to get to Hawaii though. I have many questions on where to live and hang out and all that. That's to follow later.

Well...the cost to fly to Japan and the East for you just quadrupled. But on the bright side...instead of it taking you 1 hour to go around the island...it now will take you 3. :tup: Kidding...ish.

Anyhow best of luck in the move. Dont modify your car much from now till June though. The recon issues here can be a little rough versus Guam.

I am getting stationed at Pearl Harbor towards the end of the year, I did see local tuner shops mention which is good. What I would like to know is if there are any authorized race locations. I'd love to get into autocross but haven't seen anything available. A nice road coarse would be optimal but even a coned out coarse would be fine.

No road course but there is autocross at the stadium. Just google SCCA Aloha Stadium and I'm sure it will point you to the right direction... other than that, not much "real" racing courses. There are talks of a new track... but it's all just talk. For now.

Hey guys, was wondering how strict hawaii's emissions tests are. I may be movin out to oahu here in a little bit and ive got i/e/hfc and wonderin if they actually smog test it or look for hfcs. In texas, they only smog if the car obd1 or older.

There are no smog tests currently. Though if you are too too loud, you will run a risk of getting pulled over.

Ive passed many cars out here that are louder then my car so im not worried about that. Ive been out here on vacation for the past 10 days in the mililani area.

Worked on the Z today... damn it feels good to work on her again =)

I had fluttering issues with my bypass valve for my supercharger and took today to fix it. She sounds like a champ again =)

Also, I'll be taking my baby to the bodyshop this following week for repairs from the hit and run =(

Lastly, I see we have some new Z owners here in Hawaii. Does a possible meet and greet, 370z style, sound good? Zmaster is off to japan so he'll be missing out. 350z/vqinc guys are out here but some of those guys are crazy (literally, haha).

Did anyone go to the "mini" meet at Pearlridge? Was picking up dinner and saw a bunch of 350Z's...was on the phone (via earpiece) and was watching traffic so I didnt say hi or anything...sorry....
