Most tracks will require you have a tow hook installed on your car prior to going on track, but the stock one will do just fine. That being said, the stock one is ugly. I like these

Actually, it depends on the track Mike. Some will actually required that it has this minimum inner diameter. Also, some will require it to be Red, yellow, or orange but thats usually for higher levels of racing.
