Don't forget to let me know your shirt size as well guys. 😁

JARblue 10-16-2019 04:07 PM

I'll take an XL. Unless it's one of those ridiculously sized XL t-shirts made to fit someone that is 6 ft 150 lb :shakes head:

XL please.

Used to be XXL. That's when I weight 250 lbs, 18"neck, 50" chest, with 34" waist. Now I'm just a small guy at 215lbs, 17.5" neck, 44" chest, with a 33" waist. :shakes head:

Can anyone talk me into these as a complete noobie wanting to hedge his bets against oil starvation on the track?

I had my first track event with NASA in AZ, and I'm only interested in mods that boost longevity, rather than HP numbers.

I've the setrab oil cooler, and CSF Triple-Pass Radiator.

Next on the list is a Wavetrac/OS Giken, Power Steering cooler, Fuel Starve Mod Fix, and potentially this.

The CJM oil pan for oil starve. I have the AM Perf oil pan. This pump is because the oem oil pump gears area bit weak at high rpms.

I have the OS Giken LSD with a MAM diff cooler. Z1 power steering cooler. CJM RRP fuel starve kit.

Good evening sir,

Our main goal was to deliver a pump that the gears would be strong enough to last higher RPMs. However, we took what we learned from the 350z we do, and implemented those methods to the HR/VHR pump. In turn, we see better vacuum, little to no flex on front plate, smoother transitions, helping keep cavitation to a absolute minimum. Of course the higher RPMs youd want to have supporting mods to accommodate the pump. With your event/s, this pump will definitely be an upgrade for longevity and help you accomplish what you're looking for. If you have any questions feel free to message me any time.

Thanks,
Jeremiah

I'm getting older, and figure that I didn't need to carry that much weight anymore. My joints are loving me for that.

I hear that! Anything that helps give you a better and healthier lifestyle is always a good thing. Keep it up man! I'm right at 200lb, but my joints and back are shot from my military days (82nd Airborne). Trying not to put too much stress on my body, now that I'm out.

For us it is 😂, that's our right of passage and way of life Haha. Any day Airborne is better than being a leg lol. Skydiving is a lot easier on the body comparing to the way we jumped, but I wouldn't change any of it.

Do it and don't look back :twocents:

I'm building my Z for reliability (not power) on the track. Here's a my list: http://www.the370z.com/track-autocro...no-longer.html

This list is EXACTLY what I'm looking to do. I appreciate the link, I'll be following your footsteps in many ways, on a smaller budget.

JARBlue,

Thanks for the insight. I appreciate that link, as it will definitely help guide my footsteps around the dialogue you have on your thread. I want additional safety, and LATER, additional performance. It sounds that at 60,000 mi I may need to focus on buying a second motor, and building that up over the years.

Thanks guys,

- John

Hotrodz 10-17-2019 05:19 PM

That is not a bad plan. Get yourself a junck yard motor and if you are not mechanical like me talk to Ravi & John at We Don't Lift. John drive a NA Z.

I am backing out of the Group buy. Other stuff at home has gobbled up my stash. I will get my 2nd one at a later date unless my payment can be delayed until the middle of November.

Last day to get any orders in, we did get our number to make the GB happen, just want to give anyone their last opportunity to get an oil pump at this price.

Thanks to those that have ordered. We appreciate your business and support.

First wanted to thank everyone who participated in this Group Buy. Thank you guys for yalls business and support.

Please add us on IG @Suckerpunch_motorsports so we can follow your builds or send us your thread on here.

We will update you guys of the progress, as it moves through each part of the process.

Again many thanks for the support, cant wait to see you guys putting our pumps to use.

Regards,
Jeremiah

Total D 11-08-2019 05:27 PM

Little update, because who doesnt like them.

Material was ordered, first OP should be done by the 28th, hopefully sooner, just depends on a few jobs ahead of this run. Once the first OP is done, do quality check, the profiling OP will be all that's left for machining, again check quality. From there it'll be a couple days for coating the gears, install, check quality again. Install billet cover, make sure everything is for final inspection before shipping out.

Still working on the shirts, but those will be ready by the time the pumps are ready to ship.

Just want to keep you guys in the loop, so you have an idea what's going on with your purchase.

Thanks again guys for your support!

Jeremiah

First OP finished, no to start the profiling of the gears. Pumps are being finished as well. So only thing to do after the profiles are cut is, QC gear profile, coat the gears, and install into pumps and do final QC.

Ah, I’ve already replaced my oil pump once before due to a crack near the bolt holes for the pickup tube when adding the Z1 oil pan spacer. Needless to say, I said screw it to the spacer. No, I did not over-torque it. Anyway, is the body of this one any stronger or is it still that pot metal like the OEM? Also, I skipped right to the end of this thread. What’s the deposit needed and total price?

Sorry to hear about that man. Might have gotten one from a bad pour. The pump is still the OE pump, but comes with a billet cover to prevent flex. We QC our covers before using them, making sure everything is good before sending out.

Total price is $1150 shipped, comes with a Tshirt in whatever size you need. You can pay in full as most have, or pay $750 now and remaining when ready to ship.

I just need your name/address/email, and I can send you an invoice for the GB oil pump.

Thanks,
Jeremiah
