^^Let us know if you have any questions :D

Matt 11-25-2009 11:16 PM

A few things concern me:

- You say it's nearly the same volume as stock exhaust. There are 3 reasons I want to upgrade my exhaust: Power, deeper exhaust tone, louder exhaust note. I'm confident I'd obtain the first 2 goals with this exhaust, yet if the volume is the same as stock, I assume the 3rd would not happen.

- What are the those smaller mufflers extensions for? A few forum members offered explanations in another thread, but nothing concrete? Increased low-end torque? Decreased volume in exhaust? Only in use for FI systems?

- What are the differences between this and the Type 1 and Type 3?

- Burnt tips the only option?

Thanks and good luck with the group buy!

Interested in the before and after dynos.

Here's my 2 cents:

Essentially the second set of pipes are Helmholtz resonators, this is purely acoustic in nature and not necessarily performance related. The performance related aspects of this system can be attributed to the less restrictive flow path compared to the OEM system (including the x-pipe). The design "engineers" need to speak up to a level of explanation that does not give away their tricks.

I like this system, I think I'll purchase it but will not move until we see comparative dynos.

370Zsteve 11-26-2009 08:07 PM

What I see so far, I like.

I believe it meets all 3 goals. As for the final Production weight it will be around 65 pounds. We will give you confirmed measurements once we get this on our scale here.

Burnt tip is the only options

Thanks and good luck with the group buy!

The additional canisters have two important functions. One is to keep the true tone of the 370z. During lower RPM's these canisters fill up and lessens drone (which is ideal for Daily driving). When it comes to higher RPM's, the air bypasses these canisters and act as a straight through muffler. The results show that it bears the same gains as any straight through mufflers while keeping the tone.

However there is a difference between our exhaust system design and other exhaust systems as well that make our sound unique. Its the quality of metal that we use as well as the thickness of piping that we used to make these exhaust system. Not to mention that we implemented our X-flow into this system as well.

Ultimately, we came out with a way to have that clean tone, without sacrificing performance throughout the band.

- What are the differences between this and the Type 1 and Type 3?

Type 3 has not even been released yet.

The difference if between type 1 and 2 is the design of the exhaust system.
Type 1( ARK DTS )- uses a True dual system that never meets and flows straight through all the way back.

Type 2( ARK GRIP )- utilized our X-flow, Dual Resonators, and Dual Canisters.

Our signature tips are dual Rolled, welded, Polished burnt tips

Lastly, for Type 3 ( ARK N2 ) - we are looking into a Single Exit exhaust that is used for competitive street and Track use. We will use Titanium for our single exit systems. This model will be the last project that we take on for the 370z.

Just a small added note: We are also looking into short shifters for the 370z. so stay tuned.

In for updates as a possible buyer. Sounds good.

DriveLineEric 12-02-2009 01:01 PM

Well the Group Buy is currently active. Let us know when you would like to order. We'd be more than happy to help.

batman_4 12-02-2009 02:53 PM

...sooo when someone places an order is his exhaust shipped or are you waiting for the 30 spots to fill..????

also anyone else have any more vids of this exhaust because that vid already uploaded kind of suks....they cruise by the camera as opposed to being on WOT

TeamARK 12-02-2009 09:03 PM

Right when the shipments come, we will be shipping out the exhaust to the vendors or directly to customers. The 30 spots are for the special pricing. After we get these in, the Pre order sale will be over and the Sale price will rise.

any ETA on that?

370Zsteve 12-03-2009 10:06 AM

Will you be posting any dyno results? Your group price is very appealing, comments on drone very much appreciated. All that's left is performance numbers!

TeamARK 12-03-2009 02:36 PM

ETA is still holding for DEC 15th. Remember when it lands on port, the sale is over so pick it up while the prices are low. As for final dyno #'s we will be doing that right when the production units come in. We have a 370z on call to do the dyno asap.

From Ark Performance:

"Sorry to Announce that ETA for all of our systems will be January 15th. The reason for this is so we can ensure perfect fitment the first time around.

As some of you may think bending a couple of pipes and welding them on is an easy task, it really isn't. It takes a lot of measuring and knowledge to make these systems made to be perfect.

For our first product for the 370z, we want to give the community a very good first impression on just how perfect these are meant for the 370z platform. For those who pre-ordered, I do apologize for the inconvenience. For those who have not, we will extend the pre order until Mid January.

Alex"
