I can see how much the rear panel is from Nissan, and make that an option so you don't have to cut the stock one. Not much I can do as far as the carpet goes sadly, its the price to pay for safety! |
Are you still making the smaller bar for harnesses?
|
Quote:
That I am, we have a car scheduled to come in next week to do some more test fitting on a bar that works with stock belts. Will update the thread then for those of you interested! |

Do you have an approximate weight for the setup? Just curious how much it will add to the car. If the harness bar doesn't work out, I may go this route. As the car gets faster I will need this anyway.
|
Let me get with RPM and see if they have a weight!

ALL PMs Replied to!

Also curious about how much it weighs
|
I'd like to know the weight and install labor cost (approximate ofcourse min/max give or take etc) for a shop to do this so I can either decide to do this myself or have someone else get it done.
Thanks. |
Subscribed.
I need to do some research, but I am interested in the group buy. Will let you know when I'm ready to pull the trigger. |

46lbs in Mild Steel 20lbs in Chromoly Quote:

20lbs in Chromoly Install labor should be 8-10hrs from a shop on average. Quote:

Good to know on the weights.
I shopped this around locally and one experienced race shop said that they wouldn't build in chromoly due to safety reasons. Given your experience in cage building, is that a legitimate concern or a marketing ploy by them? 26lb weight savings is very attractive for this. |

Shipping in the lower 48 will normally be around $200.00 Quote:
There has been some debate about this over the years, honestly chromoly is just fine in most race applications for cages. There are some extreme cases where people use a mixture of the two for different areas but that is really not needed 99% of the time. All in all. Chromoly is fine. -Daelen |

I'm interested! How does the bar affect headroom though? It looks like the headrests are pressing against them. Will I be limited in how much I can most the seat back?
