Hi Patrick@AAMComp, would you please reply to my recent email about my mismatching HFC downpipes, as a matter of urgency? This issue needs resolving asap not to endlessly hold up the TT install, which is already 2 weeks in.

THANK YOU
René

Looking positively rocket engine, the turbos, pipes and injectors are installed now https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3f89f9710c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...78d4a17453.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...afad90032e.jpg

Those downpipes should really be supported. You don't want all that stress on the v-band connection.

Love the wrap! No loose ribbon cloth coming off of that. What is it?

That's sticky gold heat reflection tape, carefully applied to all aluminium piping.
Whereas the black coating is ZircoTec Primary Black ceramic coating.

Oh man, I can't wait to see your results and review!!

V1H 08-22-2017 03:05 AM

Quick update. Because there were some issues with my original HFC downpipes, AAM manufactured me a new pair and they have now arrived in the U.K. After some new ceramic coating they installation can go on.
I project another 2 weeks.

How is your build going?

V1H 08-27-2017 10:07 AM

Hi shadow85. H-Dev's last update this week was they gonna test fit the engine now. If all fits the new downpipe's gonna get a sensor bung welded on and sent away for ceramic coating. So, that'll take all next week.
Best wishes

***** AAM Competition's 370Z Twin Turbocharger System *****

Hi there,
The engine setup needed some tweaking for it to seat nicely in engine bay without any chafing problems. It's fitted now, together with the FMIC and piping

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...66d3bdaa02.jpg

Oil cooler setup may need some fabrication due to access for the intercooler pipes and oil return pipes from turbo.
After that, the fuel return system will be finalized and onto all vacuum plumbing and wiring.
So there is still a bit to do but it is progressing nicely and Craig and Co are doing a terrific job

TT install update

Update on the TT install:
My external oil cooler setup needed to be modified, the hoses caused interference, new fittings have now been made. The standard cooler lines for the OEM oil filter had to be rerouted and repalced. It's all very busy now down there. Real estate is very rare everywhere:

https://www.350z-uk.com/applications...22cbdce7397b68

Oil system setup for the TT is complete. Pictures of the turbos. The downpipes will be fitted at the very end; the engine was already out and in 3 times.

Completed Fuel Return System with bigger pump and the necessary Venturi mod and all inside the tank.

https://www.350z-uk.com/applications...9ef7760674edf8

At the moment, H-Dev are having a problem getting the passenger Turbo intake pipe fitted. The A/C piping and compressor hard lines leave no physical way of routing the intake pipe to the Turbo. New A/C pipes may have to be fabricated but H-Dev is contacting AAM first.

After that:
- boost controller
- Heavy Duty CSC + CMC and bleeding (the Clutch and flywheel have already been installed)
- refitting all electrics (incl fitting bulkhead connector through firewall)
- installing PCV system upgrades, incl. two OCCs and stealthy VTA setup
